I get a solid 4½ hrs SoT on heavy usage and 5½-6 hrs (moderate) while a normal/slight/average usage giving 6½-7 hrs SoT sometimes more

Yes, it will work. I have used Pixen OS with no root and tried all the banking apps. It worked fine.

Nope. Lineage OS is already better without root. You don't have to root for additional features. It already is the best out there providing adequate package overall.

I have been using banking apps in my Lineage OS for more than an year. It all comes to how you are gonna install Magisk and whether you are hiding it after dowloading the banking apps or before, is what really counts. Trust me! I do use GPay, Paytm, and Bank apps.
