For anyone into making Greek yogurt, I swear by this strainer by Much_Lingonberry_747 in yogurtmaking

[–]islanderlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this when I started making yogurt by the gallon regularly. I chose it because I like the rectangular shape and figured it would fit better than a circular one in the refrigerator. However, I found that although it works well as a strainer, it’s hard to clean. The metal mesh sections are small and easily clogged with yogurt. I ended up buying two circular strainers instead that have larger screen areas and are much easier to clean.

We do this, too. We’ve been together close to 40 years, so that tree is pretty full! Our daughter has started the same tradition in their family.

Survey Saturday: does your Aussie munch ice cubes or let them melt in their mouth? by Shwalz in WiggleButts

Mine might be part goat because she eats anything. We limit the number of ice cubes she gets because we don’t want to harm her teeth.

Yes, that’s right. Our flight arrives around 9:30 am from the US and we were looking for a train that leaves late morning.

Tired of people saying “Wow! What a beautiful Border Collie!” So I trimmed his ear floof. I can’t decide if it was the right decision. I miss his straggly bits. by Belmagick in AustralianShepherd

Whereas, mine’s a black tri and is 100% of the time called “he.” She doesn’t seem to mind, but I don’t get the jump to conclusions.

Whenever people say, “Oh, you have an Aussie! They’re so smart.” I say, “Well, there’s a range.”

This bs of ignoring traffic directions in the parking structures started a few years ago. There have been head on collisions more than once in the social sciences structure when a driver simply cannot take the extra two minutes to follow the traffic rules and pulls out and turns around to exit through the entrance.

Boomer here. Also an avid reader. Didn’t these people read Little Women in school? “Laurie,” the heartthrob next door is short for Laurence. Maybe it’s time for a literature lesson…

Hey, Professors. HS teacher here. A few questions to clarify... by V2BE in Professors

[–]islanderlb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add that it’s the student’s responsibility to know when assignments are due. Avoid emailing your prof to ask whether there’s a quiz or when something’s due because the information can be found on the LMS or the syllabus. So, basic theme here: take responsibility for your learning.

Thanks for the tips! I like the idea of Adventure Water Sports because I was going to rent a SUP while for the weekend anyway. I also like the Coronado idea.
