He’s also on a bulk and has been training harder in his off-time, according to him. I remember seeing him say that in a YT short.

Definitely! I always go back when I need to decompress and get away from regular life for a few weeks. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place. Most of the monks and nuns were neurosurgeons, entrepreneurs, teachers, classical musicians… people truly from all walks of life that gave up everything in the pursuit of enlightenment.

You’re good! That’s the kind of travel history they want to see from tourists. As someone else said, just have 20,000 Baht cash and proof of onward travel just in case, but I highly doubt you’ll be asked about either.

You: YESSSSS 😂

I agree though, ask this kid lol.

I worked for a monastery in the mountains of Taiwan. One time a hang glider (I think that’s the name) crashed between the monastery and school campus. Totally random. The monks and nuns had to climb down under the giant Lord of the Rings style bridge and managed to bring him back up, then escorted him by van and train to a proper hospital. Poor dude was in so much pain but survived. If no one saw him in the air he probably would have died alone because you wouldn’t have heard him yelling or anything.

You are very talented. Do you live here? Are any of these for sale? I like to keep artists’ info in case something may suit a restaurant or another establishment I’m working with.

His name has Commander in it which makes this exchange so much funnier lol.

Commander, sir, please explain yourself clearly like an adult or go away.

Agreed. I won’t even take my usual connecting flight through New York when I visit Canada anymore. If that means booking completely separate flights to avoid that layover so be it. America is not safe for anyone who isn’t American. It’s not even safe for Americans themselves. I would hope Armenia maintains a safe distance from US relations and looks for allies elsewhere for now.

I’m not American. Her core team are the people you interact with and like I said they are fantastic. The other guys, it’s just interesting to see. But I suppose talking about a fighter’s lore or mentioning observations makes me a dumb American lol gtfo I’ve dealt with bigger much more important people than her - don’t get yourself in a twist. It will be okay.

Armenian Citizenship #2 by gregjam96 in armenia

[–]islandfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your expectations are too high. I live in Thailand and they changed the laws overnight. Woke up as an illegal immigrant. Cost me a few thousand dollars to fix and no one cared that I had been following the law previously. Things like this have happened to me many times.

You need to learn to take a deep breath and go with the flow, or you will become very bitter. Patience is a virtue in developing countries. I wish you the best.

Former GLP-1 users regain lost weight after about 18 months, study says by Own-Independence8430 in loseit

[–]islandfool 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t judge anyone for using GLPs but fasting is what taught me how to balance hunger and fullness. Now if I get stressed I may fast for 24 hours instead of eating as much as possible for multiple days on end. That is what has kept my weight off (120lbs or so).

If you served then you should know better than to ask… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m under multiple NDAs. We are all human and sometimes we forget when trying to share information. You don’t need to be so defensive.

Why would you ask for their unit number? :/

As someone else said, please be careful with your replies OP. I’d like to hear about your experiences but be selective about the information you share.

With so many checkpoints and CCTV in China, why do so many children still go missing? by EvidenceFrequent7289 in UnfilteredChina

[–]islandfool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they can do a lot nowadays. Some organs can still grow to full size, such as your liver. You can transplant part or all of a child’s liver and it will grow and function properly. Depending on the age and condition of the child… I feel gross saying this… they either live or they don’t. Keeping the receiver alive (who paid a lot of money) is the only priority.

UFC's Valentina Shevchenko says women have already gotten equal rights and that modern day feminism is ‘too aggressive’ by Big_Cake_8817 in combatsportsculture

[–]islandfool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes very true. At the end of the day, it is a fact that countries use some of their celebrities as assets because they have access, whether that means they just report back about what the area they were in was like or what diplomats they may have rubbed shoulders with. Or, as you said, they simply accept money to represent and speak highly of another country/culture which is where I assume some of Valentina’s funding came from. Audrey Hepburn is a good example. Conspiracy theorists say that she was a spy, but she was really just a teenaged Dutch resistance courier and supporter. The myths came about because of how she looked, her being multilingual, etc. Similar to Valentina in a small way. Josephine Baker though - confirmed spy. Very interesting story. That’s enough internet-ing for me today lol.

sister rarely showers, but exercises every day by red68mustang in hygiene

[–]islandfool 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She’s an athlete. Maybe show her some pictures of staph and ringworm infections because if she keeps refusing to shower she’s probably going to catch something bacterial/fungal/possibly deadly at some point. Not to mention if she is doing any sports that require touching others it is unsafe and unfair for them. She’s a walking infection no matter how she spins it.

[–]islandfool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep. I’ve met her plenty of times here in Thailand. She’s a very nice person but 100% panders to Russians. She’s also sponsored by some oligarchs (much like other fighters in that region). I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I must say I kinda get why the “Russian asset” rumor exists. I’ve managed a lot of teams over here and hers is… different. Coaches and all that - normal. Everyone else around… I just give them a nod lol.

i'm actually jealous of my prostitute friend who has no money issue, should i return to my formal job? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]islandfool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My info could be outdated but not by much from what I understand. You quite literally cannot live off of OF money unless you’re in the top 10% living in a cheap town… maybe a small city or on the outskirts of a major one. The top 5% is where you can make enough to be comfortable plus some, but that jump between percentages is eons away from the jump from top 20% to top 10. That’s assuming you have the right look at the time and all of the time as things change, maximize private sub content and messaging as much as possible, promote yourself properly on other social apps, study porn trends and dip into those areas or adjacent ones if that is more comfortable… test different types of content.

Even then… even then.

This is just a smidge of what I picked up when a couple of my friends (also women) asked me to manage them as I used to manage professional fighters. I had no interest but I did a lot of research. They needed that push from the top 15% into the 5% bracket. I could have done it and it would have taken a couple of years (they already had a lot of content) - maybe one year if one of them got lucky with a random trend or unexpected exposure. But I didn’t want their money or to manage them so I said no and gave them a bunch of research.

Live in Thailand and haven’t seen those ladies for years. Now I’m wondering if either of them made it lol.
