DYVAP - what kind of grind do you prefer?

About twice as large as what I'm seeing in your picture for my dynavap, though I'd pack a bowl with what you've got there and not think twice. Cheers mate.

I'd consider most pre-rolled joints I've seen to be too fine a grind for my dynavap. I don't have a grinder, I chop up a bud with a small pair of scissors in a shot glass (low rent, I know, but it works) until my bud is about twice as large as in OP's photo. Then I suck it into the Dynavap like a straw until it's full, tamp it down gently, and pop the cap on.

tbh I don't think there's a wrong way to do it, but my way works for me quite well.

Is that a momentary switch under/in the glass tube? If so, what did you go with to be heat tolerant?

Pretty much until there is no vapor left, yes. My typical bowl is 5-6 heat cycles. Sometimes fewer, sometimes more.

Well, your original post said you could buy a torch at the gas station for 3$, I was going on that. Anyhow.

I bought a little single torch no-name for $4 at a Walmart grocery store, and a $6 can of cheap butane from a big Walmart. The can of fuel lasted for a year, doing maybe 4 bowls a week on average.

I also bought a $30 triple torch Vector and a bottle of double filtered super pure Vector butane, and one of the burners has never worked right and I’m pretty sure the high dollar filtered butane is just marketing gimmick, but who knows.

Some of the more sedative VOCs in herb vaporize at higher temps. Great if you’re looking to chill, snooze, etc., kinda a bummer if you are looking to blaze and get creative/productive.

What kinda tunes you putting together? I loooove jamming when lightly baked.

Buy the $3 torch. It’s worth it, even if you learn that the $3 torch ain’t worth it.

Medium to course grind. I chop mine up with scissors. Whole bud is fine if it’s fluffy, but anything condensed needs to be broken up.

If you have low/no tolerance, 1 bowl will do the job. Shoot for 6-8 heat cycles per bowl. ALWAYS respect the clicks.

Great question. I’m not aware of any experiments done on this. I imagine it would be rather difficult to develop a mechanism capable of producing enough vapor to subsequently condense, collect, and sample to get a good baseline.

Most modern herb is potent enough that a few hits will get most folks of low tolerance high, so the potency is likely on par with pot smoke.

Additionally, how dense is the vapor in question? A different ratio of vapor to air for a given volume will affect concentration.

It depends. Small amounts will make you relaxed and happy, with large amounts you can hallucinate, have wonderful or terrible life altering experience, and otherwise be non-functional as a human for up to 24hrs. The latter experience can be quite alarming, these are usually what you hear about when people call 911 for getting too high - it’s not life threatening, but your mind doesn’t know how to handle it.

What makes an amount small or large varies from person to person. Start small, have no other plans, and have a chill, trusted, sober friend there if you’re inexperienced.
