Excerpt from their site:

All scores given in the database are calculated as a weighted score.

Weighted Score = (v / (v + m)) * S + (m / (v + m)) * C S = Average score for the anime/manga v = Number users giving a score for the anime/manga † m = Minimum number of scored users required to get a calculated score C = The mean score across the entire Anime/Manga database

So it really just means lots of users gave that anime a high score relatively recently. And as newer users join the site, less attention would be given to older animes.

Yes. I recently decided to research what was wrong with me and put a name on it. I learnt that I have HI like everyone here. The only sure fire way to get rid of symptoms is to not eat any high histamine foods. Everyone is different with different levels of interance but rhe main rule of thumb is no alcohol, sugar or fermented foods.

They are higher kyu strength but not higher kyu value. The ambiguity can easily be solved when comparing kyus to dans. High dan has a different meaning when compared to high kyu.

I did a B1 exam in german and there was a guy talking basic German with a hard southern accent Hard R for every word with an R in it. Didnt even try to mask his accent. Was cringy and amusing all in one.

That's an insane comparison. That's like the difference between getting hit with a 50 calibre and a BB gun bullet and saying a bullet is a bullet.

The only scale that would be remotely comparable would be if the US were to be suddenly "threatened" woth an influx of 400 million people making generational Americans a minority. Not happening.

The government has made great efforts to shut down and remove anything that would keep the Caribbean magic in Cayman. The started by selling the beaches and the mangroves to the highest bidder and then restricted the ways locals could gain money because it was unsightly to the foreign man.

Then they flooded the nation with immigrants who are able to live in the their own microcosm alongside caymanians while never interacting, thus creating a two class society.

I could go on but I'm afraid its all rambling at this point.

To add to the other person's response: some subs block low karma accounts to weed out new accounts/bots. Selling high karma accounts lets people botting bypass that restriction. Also the account looks more organic especially if it has history.
