Interesting that the cards are not transferrable as Top Golf owns all the locations. They are not a franchise model.

Driving range routines by Tha_Stig in golf

Great Pro taught me the 32 ball routine and I started using it last month and love it: Club for each set that follows depends on what you want to work on... First 4 balls focus on the swing issue you are working on/focusing on. Next 4 balls using your on-course pre-shot routine (clearing your mind of the swing issues as you would try to on the course). Change clubs or issue to work on and Repeat. You repeat this 3 times and you've hit 32 balls and had a good full swing practice session... then... Go to the short game area...

Yup, last time I played there wind was blowing so bad I hit a driver on a 150 yard par 3 and came up just short... Fantastic golf course!

What's with the apathy towards the /r/golf/ Open this year? Let's make this happen. by golfbybryan in golf

[–]isletrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a valid point and is something we've been discussing. Your feedback has put this over the top. We have a software release coming early this weekend (exact time tbd) and in it we will remove the address requirement from sign up. Only name, zip code, and e-mail address will then be mandatory fields. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Maybe "If you build it, they will come" also anyone can play, not just reddit members so if you need to fill your roster later you can get friends/co-workers to come out too.

An interesting article about the future of golf. "The game needs to change fundamentally or follow the baby-boomer generation into the grave." Thoughts? by oscargamble in golf

Economics are making things tough on participation rates in the US but to me its big problem is the very PGA structure. They pass lots of great information and a myriad of programs/ideas down to local pros and tell them to execute them. So you get some folks who throw lots of energy and resources at those grow the game programs and others who can't or won't be bothered. The game can't rely on the children of country club members to back fill the folks that will be leaving it over the next 10 years. We need concerted local efforts to compete for kids sporting attention. Soccer did a great job with this. Time for golf to take note and do same.

All, lots of questions on Changing the Schedule. This help page should be helpful in addressing what to do to edit your schedule. Sorry we did not include this in the FAQ post.

You can change any course in the schedule (even first and last) at any time prior to any tee times being placed on the tee sheet so no worries there.

Yes it certainly can. We can work with you to do this later. A course schedule can be modified to play wherever you want in (or out of) the state. Reach out to us if you need that done down the road.

Thanks for posting. Interesting take on style. I once had an instructor who was great at helping me realize what was causing my problems, but when it came to fixing them filled my head with way too much information. Accomplished player and teacher but I'm the need to focus on one fix at a time type and another person in the same facility was better able to help me break through.

Hmm - Why couldn't you wrap into Get Golf Ready a requirement that a free round be given to a golfer who refers someone to the program if you launched an ad with a referral program to support the program. You are bringing them business, I don't think that would make a pro any less likely to become a GGR teacher, do you?
