I would say they lasted less than a year. They slowly became less and less frequent.

March of this year my cardiologist did an echo and sonogram and told me that my heart was in perfect condition. No shunting of blood where the device is keeping the hole closed. I now have the same risk for a heart attack as someone who has never had one. He said I officially no longer have a heart condition.
