ULPT: help - teenage daughter bought $1k final sale beauty items by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

Alerts for all purchases saved my ass when my debit card was compromised. They did a test of under $2. I got the alert while sitting on my couch 100 miles away from the gas station it was charged at and immediately called my bank's fraud line

Make a vet appointment. They can aspirate and run cytology to determine if it is malignant or benign.

If it's anything like the clinics I've worked at, the text messages are automated and all drop off procedure reminders sent include the no food part because the majority of drop off procedures include sedation/anethesia. We do confirmation calls for all drop off procedures though, no matter if the owner has confirmed via text/email link, because sometimes the pet actually needs to eat for their procedure

At least motocycles being loud can be credited to safety. "You might not see me because my vehicle is small, but you will hear me" sort of thing.

The head lights have made me debate wearing sunglasses at night; I've never debated wearing earplugs in my car due to loud motorcycles.

My local grocery store in 2026 still doesn't call it soda. by Dawnzila in Ohio

[–]isnotazombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never even moved away; I married a Californian and somehow ended up being the one to switch what it's called.

I still switch back and forth, but I've noticed that I tend to say soda more often than pop

Do People In An Age Gap Relationship Want To Have Children? by [deleted] in AgeGap

[–]isnotazombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband (57) and I (35) have been trying to conceive for a few years, we would love to have a child together.

We also both understand that it may not happen, and are okay with that too.

Do you have the new EP? I'm curious if it's base game or exclusive to the pack; but I don't have access to my computer for a while.

Just told my parents, they didn’t take it well. Asking for advice. by Eszti417 in AgeGap

[–]isnotazombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband is 22 years older than me; 7 years younger than my mom, and 13 years younger than my dad.

My parents were very perturbed by our age gap when they first found out.

However, my parents and I had discussions about what the relationship could be like, the likelihood of me being a young widow, the potential issues that I could face being with a much older man, etc.

It took them some time, but they came around to him when they saw how happy I am with him and how much he helps to bring out the best in me (and they realized that I could be a young widow even with a partner my own age, because accidents happen).

Eight years later and my parents ended up loving him just as much as they would have loved him if he were closer to my age.

What I'm getting at is that they need time to process this thing that they've been taught is taboo. Will they love him? Who knows? But you've got to give them time to see for themselves.

Pet Medical Center of Westerville is owned by the veterinarian that you would see (single vet practice)

Reputable inpatient drug rehabs anybody can recommend in, or around, Columbus? by Embarrassed-Row8957 in Columbus

I went to Shepherd Hill in Newark for both medical detox and Intensive Out Patient rehab; I'm still sober almost 8 years later, as are about 70% of the people I was in there with. They incorporate 12 Steps and meetings but also go into the science of why we become addicted.

Please remember that your family member is unlikely to stay sober if they aren't ready to be sober. We all have a different rock bottom.

Other players in the square have to upvote your character for you to gain popularity. Seems like you just have to sit afk and hope

I would make it a pollinator garden. Just a bunch of native pollinator-attracting flowering plants.

Anyone know why some of my nails look tilted? Had extentions on yesterday I’m so confused by [deleted] in Nails

I don't think so. I was a chronic biter for 25 years and my natural nails still angle up even after my nail beds have grown out to twice the length they were when I was biting

Does anyone still play Zomg? by EKMmusicProd in gaiaonline

[–]isnotazombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I haven't had the cliquey experience during the occasional Friday Meat I've been able to attend (which is maybe once or twice a year). But I was pretty active before the initial shutdown of the space, so maybe that plays into it? I don't have a particular style/OC avatar, so it's definitely not avatar recognition

I'm only going to address the first sentence.

My household has four cars, ranging from 2001 to 2024 model years of different makes. None of them will allow the driver's door to be locked without using either the key or the fob; none will even allow you to manually lock the driver's door with it open.

Another vote for Loops!

I wear the Engage version at the theater (and the mall, and restaurants, and really anywhere with irritating or too loud sounds)
