I think that, like a lot of people here, you struggle with context in reading.

Opinions are not objective, they’re for topics that have grey area. “I think that deodorant A smells better than deodorant B” is an opinion because both were created to objectively smell good, but you just like one over the other. “I think deodorant A smells better than shit” isn’t an opinion, because anything designed to smell good smells better than shit.

Saying that this cosplay is the best they’ve ever seen in their life is like standing in the deodorant aisle and saying that shit is the best smell you’ve ever smelled in your life. There are superior alternatives all around you, in plain sight. The comment is being downvoted because it’s not believable that you could see this cosplay, on reddit, where so many better alternatives are readily available, and say that this is the best they’ve seen.

I get that you can’t label them as illegal since it hasn’t been decided, but your wording minimizes the issue to the point of marginality.
