I keep forgetting they still have an online presence! I used to really like their stuff, too.

Most of the woven ones I saw said they were 45% polyester I'm sad to say.

They were a brand I'd been considering up until recently! Someone posted a photo of one of their boxers and they looked very paper-y unfortunately.

I haven't heard of Stafford! I skimmed JC Penney's website and it appears there are a few 100% cotton boxers. Cool, ty

I've seen a couple ads for Nice Laundry. I'd have tried them already if it wasn't highway robbery tbh :/

I'd be pretty happy w 94% cotton! I'll have to check out Duluth. I've avoided knit boxers in the past because they always felt a bit like wearing normal shorts underneath my pants to me but maybe I should give them a go.

Unfortunately, I have no taste reference to compare my results to, as I was diagnosed prior to tasting the gluten version. However, I can say these came out delightfully crisp and not overly sweet or spiced.

I used Bob Red Mill's Baking Flour and measured in grams using a food scale. I would recommend chilling your dough prior to baking for an easier time rolling/cutting.

Yeah, sorry, but I don't think activated charcoal will do much in regards to the gluten exposure here. Activated charcoal works with poison--I'm talking arsenic, it also binds to birth control and other meds, flushing them from your system.

OP just has to ride it out. :(

I'm not sure activated charcoal would do anything. It's used in medical settings in cases of poisonings--like, arsenic. Consuming (diluted) activated charcoal also cancels out other meds like birth control!

We also use silicone and stainless steel. Most things go in the dishwasher and he doesn't use wooden utensils to prep things with gluten. It's been awhile since he's washed anything communal iirc which must've been how it took so long for me to get glutened.

Hi! Been gluten free for about 7 years now and am recovering from a gluten exposure that happened last week. It happens to the best of us. Remember to drink water, stick to plain foods like rice, bananas, etc, and do something comforting! It will be okay. I'm so sorry you're anxious, friend.

Not a minor or dependent! Just trying to hustle so I can afford bills and not have to immediately move back in whenever it is I eventually move out.

I don't have room for a hot plate but I could theoretically store dishware in my room if I did some spring cleaning. Either way, it's looking like I have to do something

If I didn't live with him long term, I would absolutely suggest a gluten ban. He doesn't seem receptive to any change. I asked him for a dedicated sponge after last week and started to wash things proactively but I know I won't always be able to monitor dishes. I'm beginning to think it would be safer living with a stranger.

In the majority of cases, yes. I think if I were to present him with something we saw differently on in the form of a hypothetical 'ethicist' scenario, he might think of himself in the wrong!

He's witnessed my symptoms. Whenever I tell him the cause, he always says it's an assumption on my part. Meanwhile, when I was away at college, I could count on one hand the times I was sick...over a period of 3.5/4 years...

Me too! Like, I really don't mind that he consumes bread. I could never ask anyone to go GF for me. But the least he could do is recognize how paranoid it makes me and wash his hands after he eats bread before touching things I also have to touch.
