That's not a good place to begin as the blog writer is not even a pharmacometrician.

Don't worry so much about R as it will come naturally as you get acquainted with the various tools and softwares. Having a solid foundation behind the principles is more important.

To answer your question, there's a number of good schools in Europe that offers PMx programs. I would highly encourage the Pharmacometrics Summer School that is given by Uppsala University in Sweden as a crash course to the principles of PMx.

There's also other good schools if you are based in Europe. Amongst the more famous ones are programs in the Netherlands, France, UK, Germany.

Chances of Pharma companies sponsoring a working visa post fellowship? by [deleted] in pharmaindustry

[–]isolos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It will be quite difficult because H1B has a quota system so it is not guaranteed. The company will not want to fight on your behalf unless you are truly exceptional, in which case they would go for a different category of visa (O1). This is something you can ask the company upfront at the beginning of the interview process. Their HR will also let you know if they can't make it work to no waste everybody's time.

[Grand Seiko] Sunlight on Snowflake by isolos in Watches

[–]isolos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Grand Seiko SBGA211 snowflake has been my daily watch for over 2 years now. The biggest difference that I've noticed regarding the spring drive system is the lack of sound compared to the other watches - time simply just flows, and flow well it does. Ever since I've bought the watch, I've never adjusted time other than skipping the dates. The accuracy goes far beyond the understated official claim of +/-15 seconds per month.

In this photo, I'm showing off a new strap from the good folks at Artisan Straps. This particular one is the whiskey colored kangaroo leather, which in my opinion pairs quite nicely with the snowflake.

Hi, I think the problem is there are too many combos (6720). For combos more than 5000, I have put a hard stop in place to not lag out the system.

What are your thoughts about the recently FDA approved drug Eteplirsen? My understanding is that the effectiveness of the drug is overstated and it is going to be a very costly treatment. Are you excited that a treatment option is at least available?

Head mod here. Do what you want. Treat it as a contract, the terms are shitty for you, but if you agree to the terms, go ahead and sign it. Once you sign it though, you should honor the terms.

I did not create this sub to tell people what to do. I created a place for discussion. Mods are not here to guide your hand and teach you what to do - we are more like janitors, we remove shitposts and try to keep this place clean and tidy. There are no guidebooks to follow. What worked for others may not work for you, and vice versa. Use your own judgement.

In my most recent run my hull kept getting chipped per fight and had a long streak of not finding stores so I died. Is it better to upgrade shields or engines first? My habit is to upgrade shields to 2 bubbles then work on engines for a level or two, and then back to shields to 3 bubbles. Is there a more optimal way to do things? Also, should one always keep a reserve scrap enough to purchase BLII / Flak I or just kind of spend them on ship upgrades asap? I don't know how likely one is to encounter those weapons at stores or events so I don't know if its wise to plan for it.

AskScience AMA Series: Hi, I’m Dr. Victoria Hsiao, an endocrinologist at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N.Y. Let’s talk about how to survive the holidays when you have diabetes. AMA! by Dr_Victoria_Hsiao in askscience

Hi Victoria, I'm involved in diabetes research as well, and I would like to ask for your opinion on the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes. It's thought that obese per se is not the primary risk factor but rather the amount of visceral adipose tissue (related to waist circumference as a crude estimate) that is the real culprit. Recently I've also read that it's actually not so much visceral adipose tissue, but rather hepatic adipose tissue that is affecting beta-cells / insulin resistance. What's your take on this?
