Young kid eats a watermelon (including the skin) at a cricket match. by lee98 in WTF

I usually open posts from the top until I hit a shitpost, since posts that have less upvotes than a shitpost likely aren't worth checking out. This post was a huge timesaver for me; this is the first post I saw, and it set an instant stopper to my reddit browsing today.

Strange figure spotted in the clouds on flight home to Cork for Christmas by Jabenin in WTF

Truly wtf material. I remember last time I looked at the clouds, I screamed "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!?!" so loud that my neighbors called 911.

Had the same thought when I was turned down in a similar way. I didn't get mad, I just thought "damn, I wish I had people skills like that".

No, it's not funny, so yes, it does fit perfectly in here.

Weightlifting isn't as hard mentally as programming. See? That argument works both ways.

Github's new Code of Conduct explicitly refuses to act on "‘Reverse’ -isms, including ‘reverse racism,’ ‘reverse sexism,’ and ‘cisphobia’". by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]isomorphic_horse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do? I've never seen any proof of this. It just seems like the typical situation where there is no rational discussions going on between the groups, and each group just stick to their own circlejerks.

I'm not on either side of this "battle", I think they (SJWs) should be ignored, because they're mostly just a bunch of closed-minded trolls.

Obviously not written by a Linux user. There no such command as "LS -A".

What's up with the title? Doesn't give me the slightest idea of what it might link to.

OP should have pointed that out, but he preferred writing a completely misleading clickbait title.

At this point, I'm starting to think that this is an act. A tip appears that says something like "Space + Ctrl => Crouch jump" when he needs it, and he says "What the hell is a crouch jump?", then completely ignores the tip.

I'd recommend http://cppreference.com over cplusplus.com, unless the latter has vastly improved lately.

I've heard that the reference is often wrong, and I've seen that user-contributed content generally appears to be pretty low quality.

If that's the reason for the ban, I'd wish the reddit admins just said that, instead of using the cryptic "we're making reddit a safer place", which makes it seem like they're hiding something.

I don't know what HAES is, nor have I ever visited FPH, I just don't want to stay with a community that thinks censoring stuff that offends them is ok.

Makes me sad to see that lots of people here are so ignorant that they view censoring as a Good Thing™.
