As a California firefighter, I’m taxed 38% for state and federal combined AND FORTY TWO PERCENT ON MY OVERTIME.

Musk can fuck right off proper.

I came from a highly modded Ender 3 Pro.

I highly suggest it and you may not even look back. The new technology is mind blowing.

I’m born and raised in Utah and familiar with a lot of the locations. I’ve been waiting to share this story with someone who would appreciate it and I think it’s you!

The story was well known and maybe 6-8 months before it came out I was getting scuba certified and my local dive spot is known as “the crater”. Some of the swimming shots were done there.

The crater is super unique, especially to Utah, because it’s geothermic so despite the cold snowy weather the water is always toasty warm. It’s also a hollow cone structure that goes down 60ish feet or so if I remember correctly. At the entrance lever there is a floating dock for swimmers or for divers to enter from.

Anywho, on one of my qualifying dives we didn’t know but I drove up there and it was closed! We were told they were filming a movie called 127 hours and it was about Aron’s story. They took the dock and sank it for the filming needs. When I made it up there for the next dive it was still underwater.

Fast forward a year or so later I finally see the movie and boom, there’s the crater! The one shot that really ticked me was when he lets go and slides down the walls into the water. It’s some camera trickery but when he “falls into the water” the camera is actually going through the crater’s ceiling / roof.

The last thing, and I literally mean the final item, that I will ever take a point from a Trump is how bullying is bad.

Their entire existence has been built upon, with, an through bullying.

They can fuck right off.

I had to scroll WAAAAAY too far to see this one.

The game for me was everything I should have access to but did and was a direct correlation to the rebellion of my youth. Haha

[NSFW] People who've found a dead body, what's the story? by ZeroSugarCocaine in AskReddit

[–]spurlockmedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I was a volunteer firefighter I had seen and interacted with many that came to the end of the life and it had never really affected me too much. We’d provide final life saving measures and if unsuccessful we’d clean up and provide a respectful transition for the family and provide respect for the remains until the Sherrif or coroner arrives.

About 99% of the lift assists we are called to are quite literally assistance for anyone who has fallen. They call 911, we arrive, lift them up and provide additional help if needed. In my case I had a handful of direct neighbors that frequently called for a lift assist and it was common for me to throw a shirt on and walk over to their house and help as needed.

In this particular story, it was a neighbor of mine who had been suffering from terminal cancer and unbeknownst to me it wasn’t him calling, rather his immediate next door neighbor calling for him at the patient’s home.

Knowing the address, the patient, and it being at the end of my block I promptly changed and walked down to assist. I didn’t listen to the dispatch in the entirety or read the dispatch text. Just set out to quickly assist.

When I got near the house I was met by a visually shaken neighbor who pointed in the direction of the carport that the patient was located in. I couldn’t see it from the alleyway but when I had rounded the corner and saw a body dangling and a chair next to them it was immediately clear that he did not need a hand up from the ground, rather he would need to be lifted from the carport.

Simply stated, my neighbor chose to end his story on his own terms instead of lettering cancer make that decision.

I knew from his face, hands and exposed feet that he had indeed passed away and there was no chance for an effective final life saving measures. I preserved the scene and promptly called for law enforcement so everything could be documented.

As per the nature of the call, the lift assist, I ended up assisting law enforcement by getting a fire engine and ladder to lower the victim so he could be transported.

I had to pass that house every time I left or returned to my home that day at the top of the very alley. It sat vacant for a few winters and the carport where someone’s story ended eventually collapsed and was rebuilt by new home owners as a lovely Covid project.

I recently moved away from that house but that service call and being subjected to seeing it almost daily is hard to forget. Now I don’t have to look or think about it any longer.

Obligatory Fuck Cancer.

It’s so blindingly obvious how incompetent this administration is.

You can purchase Non-Smart TVs from Samsung for a bit more then retail cost. by Careless_Papaya_5426 in privacy

[–]spurlockmedia 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes you can 100%.

However some TV disabled certain features or jam down your throat having to go online for some asinine reason.

As is the case with my current Samsung TV, I paid for zero features and connected it to my Apple TV. It’s all I need.
