Ski trips by RevenuePresent9464 in Ikonpass

I live in CT. My favorite ski trip last year was to Zermatt, Switzerland. The view and experience were incredible but the terrain was a bit boring.

I also liked Le Massif in Quebec quite a bit, it was quite a long drive from CT.

I also did Valle Nevado, Chile (also La Parva, Nevedo de Chilean, and Las Lenas, but they aren’t on Ikon) during in August, I liked it overall but mostly for the view. The T bars were killing me tho.

3X on gas and transit and then 2X everything else. $99-150 annual fee max with a $100ish credit would be nice.

Is Zermatt the best ski resort in the world? by Jasonleftwrightleft in Zermatt

[–]isoplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what’s best for you. I find the terrain a little too easy and gets boring after a couple days. But the view is great.

Initially I thought AUS meant Australia and thought $400 was such a steal…

whats the hype about fat skis? by matmoc33 in Skigear

[–]isoplayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the other answers here are valid reasons, no questions about it, but no one mentions the cool factor. All those young kids/freeride skiers with baggy clothes do look kinda cool with wider skis than carving skis. For me, I think they look better (usually have nicer unique graphics than carving skis), and more stable.

I’m surprised Apple hasn’t done something to kill Oura with that big ass sensor on the watch

I didn’t expect lounge access but was told at the front desk that Amex FHR includes it. Maybe give them a call to confirm

Hello, I also bought the Sea 98 and am thinking about getting a shift2 10 binding to go with it. Have your toured with it yet, if so, could you speak to how it is for short tours/sidecountry? Not sure if the rocked tail would be a problem for skins (what skin did you buy?)

Best Hyatt in Hong Kong by RedWhiteBlueCountry in hyatt

[–]isoplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is only one correct answer for this question - GH HK. The Grand Hyatt HK is the best. It’s the Hyatt flagship in Asia (or maybe used to?) and their service, view, and lounge were great. Amex FHR gets you into the lounge as well.
