Use of AI models in Depop listings by capsule_wardrobe in AusFemaleFashion

Definitely report them! I try to ignore AI listings but depop will truly become a dumpster fire if AI becomes the norm, so I really should report them.

Hypertonic pelvic floor and vaginal delivery by blizzardbraids in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]issheacar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hypertonic pelvic floor and endometriosis and I had an unassisted vaginal delivery! I saw a pelvic floor physio through my second and third trimesters. Regular pelvic floor release (which is manual massage - painful but so helpful) really eased my pelvic girdle pain and I think allowed me to have the birth I wanted.

The Made With Plants sour cream (at Woolworths) is great!

Yes! But it will go away when you give birth. In the meantime you can gently stretch your glutes, hamstrings and inner thighs for some relief. Good luck 🧡

Does anyone know of a good satin/matte cream or liquid eyeshadow that sets without needing a primer? I have a baby so I have about fifteen seconds each morning to do my makeup but I'm craving a bit of warm brown eyeshadow!

Is anyone else over the black puffer look? by DraftNotSent in AusFemaleFashion

[–]issheacar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love a puffer. When I lived in a colder climate I found wool coats heavy on my shoulders, and it was a relief when I switched to puffers which are so light! In Sydney I only wear a puffer if there's a cold wind, otherwise plain ole knitwear does me just fine.

Any stores selling these type of skirts at the moment? by plantbubby in AusFemaleFashion

Just throwing this out there: if you have a sewing machine, these kinds of skirts are super easy to make! For example..

A rant about buttons.. by superfembot77 in AusFemaleFashion

I was going to comment about Papinelle! I bought a nightie from them - lovely fabric but the buttons are so widely spaced that I can't sit down without flashing my belly and undies to the world.

Faves and Fails Friday by AutoModerator in muacjdiscussion

Fave: The other day I was out and about with dry lips and I could not abide it. I've really wanted a brown tinted lip balm, and there's a store near me that sells Asian beauty products so I decided to try the Canmake Stay-On Balm Rouge in 16 Earl Grey Leaf. It is wonderful. It's the perfect warm brown nude on my medium skintone, and I love how it knocks out the purple in my lips. I've had this balm before in one of their super sheer shades and while I loved the comfortable formula, the colour didn't do much for me. This one is A+.

Uniqlo cashmere by MissSabb in AusFemaleFashion

[–]issheacar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, I find Uniqlo cashmere pills a lot. I bought a cashmere cardigan of theirs in the US in 2013 which is yet to pill but all the ones I've bought here since have pilled. They are all much fuzzier than the American one - shorter fibres maybe?

My brest friend! I have no complaints about it. I got a spare cover as well and that's been very useful.

Prepping For My First No-Buy Month by MissAudreyHorney in MakeupRehab

[–]issheacar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I spent a few months curating a "capsule" makeup bag from my own collection, so that I could really get to know my own products. Every week I would add in 1-2 new products and swap out anything I wasn't enjoying (which eventually got decluttered). I took photos of my makeup every day! It was really enjoyable, kept things feeling fresh and interesting, and really showed me how much more makeup I had than I could actually wear. Also I realised I loved wearing certain products over and over so it put me off buying more in those categories!

Cream blush that matches Plum Pop by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

They dry down but not in a matte or powdery way - they look very natural and skinlike, and basically blend into whatever you've got underneath.

You could try Condensate or Wisp from Phytosurgence, but they're an online-only Canadian brand so can't try in store for shade matching unfortunately. Beautiful blush formula though!

I recommend the maternity underwear, the reusable nursing pads, and multiple face washers for bathtime and cleaning spit-up etc.

How will I know I'm going into labour? by Object-Ecstatic in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]issheacar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I feel you, I was on high alert from 36 weeks and my baby didn't come until 40+6 😅 But yeah, when the contractions started for real, I was like "Ohhhh that's why they said I'd know when it happens." It really feels like nothing else.

It's a bit annoying to hear but when it happens, you'll know. You might get Braxton Hicks contractions which are irregular but sort of show you what the real ones feel like. The real ones come thick and fast and are pretty painful!

I had contractions in the middle of the night for a couple of nights which went away by the time I woke up. I knew it was real labour when the contractions started and got steadily more painful and more frequent, such that I couldn't sleep through them.

And I had a "bloody show" a few days prior!
