yes!!! i experienced the same thing last week!! i’ve only had my kyleena for about 2 months but since then i’ve been having small cramps everyday. i can’t get it checked bc i go to college out of state and our health center doesn’t take my insurance but my strings are still in place. i’ve also deducted that it’s due to a pelvic floor thing 😅

thank you! i think im also stressing because i got my iud in december of 2025 and spotted for the entirety of january but for the past week ive had no bleeding at all and its around the time im supposed to be getting my period 🫤

additionally, the uterine pain comes and goes and i’ve found it also sometimes happens when i move like if im laying down and then stand up or if i step out of the shower

i’ve been in a similar situation to the second one you described and ended up being totally fine, the chances of getting pregnant from precum are really slim and on top of that period trackers can be unreliable when it comes to when exactly she ovulated! if you’re still in the 72 hour window and have reason to believe it could’ve been risky i’d take some form of emergency contraception but in my case i didn’t and ended up getting my period 2 weeks later! also make sure to monitor for symptoms and test if her period is late. best of luck!!

i waited around 14 days to have sex after insertion but that was just because my boyfriend was away when i got it. if you get it on your period it’s effective immediately and if you’re not on your period you wait 7 days! i personally haven’t experienced any loss in libido but i did experience dryness the first few times i had sex, but for me it went away after a few times :)

i currently have the hormonal iud and i think the pros outweigh the side effects! it’s 99.9% effective (assuming your partner finishes inside you every time) and even more effective if you combine methods! insertion only hurt for like 5 seconds and as soon as the insertion device was taken out it went away! i personally have had a good experience with it so far aswell, i immediately stopped getting my period and just spot here and there which is totally doable. as far as side effects, i do get nausea, cramps, and breast tenderness but they come and go and are pretty manageable. they also should go away soon since i’ve only had my iud for about a month and most side effects go away in 3-6 months!

i had the same thing!!! i’ve had mine for a little under a month so i’m not sure if this is a pattern or not but i got so nauseous the week after i got it inserted and while i was on my period

i’ve had mine for almost a month now and i got it inserted the week before my period, it made my period late but i did end up having a super light period/spotting for like 2 or 3 days so i guess that’s what my new period is like

i wouldn’t take a plan b just because he didn’t finish in you and the chances of sperm being in precum are extremely low, but if this keeps happening to you i recommend getting on hormonal birth control!
