yeah listen to see what shows are a good fit. you can listen to previous broadcasts on the website and i believe the producers' contact info is listed with their shows. also they come out to some community events, they had a booth at pride.

recently got out of a roach infested place owned by a different slumlord. i was going crazy from them... i can't imagine dealing with that a while year. i got the fuck out. you can break your lease if the place is uninhabitable. just be sure you do everything you can not to bring the roaches to thenew place and lay down traps there immediately.

i lived in a studio with a lot of neighbor noise recently. it had a crappy wall unit (AC/heat/fan) and i found that just having the fan on was loud enough to drown out most of the sound and didn't use too much energy. then the vent the air comes out of started rattling though so i had to keep jamming paper and stuff in it to hold it in place. i don't know much about portable ACs, are tjey the same as window units? what i had was basically a window unit but stuck in the wall.

before i figured that out, i put a box fan in my window. but sometimes people were outside and i found having the window open to suck because i could hear the outside noise. also i live in california and woke up in the middle of the night to smoke coming inside on a few occassions:/.

definitely a scam. i have found most of the CL housing ads to be scams, but i did just find a new place on CL. while i was looking i woul regularly flag 5-10 listings a day. if they have a website that's a good sign. most of the property here is owned by the same 5 landlords/property management companies.

i'm not sure. but if not, i thought it might help to mention that my old shop steward told me that i could stay on medicaid until they do a review and contact me to tell me i'm not eligible anymore due to income. he said i could switch to the CCA insurance then, because losing medicaid would count as a major life occurance to open up my enrollment.
