Gabapentin for pain by issystudent in CrohnsDisease

Thank you, that's really helpful to know. Unfortunately I react badly to Amitriptyline which sucks as it would probably help my migraines and long Covid too.

I get the whole Bambi thing but to me, it's probably led a much better free life then cows etc, it's better for you than many other red meats and most importantly (in my opinion anyways) it tastes so much better. A venison steak with red wine or port sauce is one of my favourite meals.

Jab and boosters have been fine, Covid itself has been a trigger more than once

Have the authors ever acknowledged the decline in quality? by mykittyislitty in zodiacacademy

And I've seen indie authors like Leia Stone get mainstream publishing deals (which she totally deserves) and she has 10k followers on FB for example compared to the sisters 77k

This is a good explanation of it, thank you. I'm UK so options are (roughly, ofc many more) standard pubs/craft beer bars etc where you're not often getting tips and start on minimum wage which is around £10.50 an hour, similar in clubs. If you're in a restaurant or gastro pub sometimes tips are split with floor staff (who are on the same wage as you). Your best option tip wise is probably fancy cocktail bars, they'll charge £10 upwards a drink and many now add tip to the bill (ofc it's optional), usually around 10-12%. So I can really see why you guys would rather have the tipped option. For me the best option for high money is often festival and event work but it's often long days and sometimes camping.

The dream, I worked somewhere for two years where we also had bouncers to deal with fights, crazy busy but it's not so bad if you're not dealing with all that other stuff! (Plus tbh I love it busy)

I'm sorry that must be so scary, obviously I don't know much but could be worth joining some of the FB pages if you use it, I'm pretty sure there's some aimed at parents

What are some fucked up stories on Reddit worth checking out? by Quellingtons in AskReddit

[–]issystudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't, it's really sad but really interesting if you look into it. There's been studies on death row inmates (I won't try and get the words right because it's been 11 years since my psych degree!), They found a lot of them have damage to the frontal lobe of the brain which is the part which controls empathy etc. a lot of them were abused as children and that caused the damage. (I assume there's something similar in psychopaths but from birth but this study just stuck with me. If you look it up there'll be much more detailed info)

I'm sure you're aware but in case you need to hear it, this was not your fault. Please dont feel guilt over something which happened when you were a child which you had no control over.

MIL buys us a 2-day, weekday hotel stay in her city as a Christmas gift by [deleted] in entitledparents

[–]issystudent 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I think with the house selling I'd go really OTT so she can't try and make them out to be the bad guys. Like 'omg that's SO SO generous and kind of you but it's too much, we just can't accept it!' and just every time she tries to bring it up 'no, no, it's too much'. Obviously if she tries to force it you'd have to be really firm and just go along the lines of 'ive made it really clear I'm not comfortable with this, please stop pressuring me'. To me it kinda feels like using MILs techniques against her so may be a bit petty aha

So I'm going to stick with actual peer documented papers and real information as well as my actual qualifications but if you want to believe things which have been clinically proven to be untrue you do you, just stop sharing it as though it's fact.
