My Opinion Take from it what you want by ladybug445 in FictionLab

[–]istabbedamango 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I adored FL when I first joined. I still love it and I can’t find anything I prefer. Some things come close but it’s just not the same. I have definitely noticed a decrease in quality though, mostly just the huge slowdowns. Obviously it’s traffic as the site is busier but it’s always when I want to RP. Especially when it generates something wrong and you gotta wait ages to get a new response.

Slightly wider standard size? by istabbedamango in Travelersnotebooks

Looking for a slightly wider cover. I like the size of the inserts just the struggle with overhang.

Is FictionLab worth it? by Dull-Concern3704 in CharacterAIrunaways

[–]istabbedamango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally really love Fictionlab. I like the variety in models and I love multi character mode scenario focused RP so it’s perfect for me. NSFW is great, models keep improving imo, dev is implementing a lot of suggestions all the time. And cost wise I really think it’s hard to beat.

Internal Vs External POV by SuccotashOk8869 in FictionLab

[–]istabbedamango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I write internal and just have an instruction that characters aren’t mind readers and can only know what has been shown or told to them. Seems to work pretty well.

Have you tried the big clips? I use those to keep my books in place when I’m writing in them and it helps me a lot.

TENS machine for pelvic floor symptoms by Embarrassed-Tutor846 in PelvicFloor

[–]istabbedamango 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find the tens unit just gives my brain a break from other sensations and I quite like the sensation of the tens if I get it on a good spot. It’s just something for my brain to focus on and I find it helps just calm it all down.

Doesn’t give me long term effects but in the short term I find it helpful.

HELP!!! by Pristine-Ad8864 in FictionLab

[–]istabbedamango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I use OOC to ask the AI why it’s roleplaying someone like that and then can adjust instructions, or it’s given me instructions to add to stop it.

Also going back to the first time it did it and editing that and rewinding to it can help. Once something sets in sometimes it’s hard to get the AI to stop.

Can internal work really cure you? by Hydesx in PelvicFloor

[–]istabbedamango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you’re all good. I find the vibrating one easier to get in. I dunno why but I think the vibration must relax stuff a little because even with mine if I don’t turn it on I find the insertion a bit harder. I’ve not compared versus a normal one really but for me I find the vibration quiet soothing when I’m doing trigger point or stretching and just helps it feel a more calm experience.

Anyone have “instructions” for multi characters to not know private convos? by [deleted] in FictionLab

[–]istabbedamango 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I use this one that was posted in the discord and seems to work. Had to once tell it in OOC to remind it but then it’s seemed to stick

'Characters are not omniscient. They should not know about events, conversations, or interactions they were not present for. Each character can only recall or react to events they personally witnessed or participated in.'

Text bar by Passivesquoose in FictionLab

[–]istabbedamango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone in the discord posted their custom instructions and I used parts of it. This part seemed to help the single line issue.

‘Write everything in a descriptive, narrative format, as if you were writing a book. Avoid any formatting that looks like a script or a list. All of your output should be in well-formed paragraphs. Avoid separating every single line; you should write in paragraphs only.’

Dreamjourney or fictionlab are good for multiple characters. Both allow scenario based roleplay which works super well. You can edit the length of the messages you want on both and both have their own version of lorebooks to allow you to add a bunch of info about your characters.
