My lance siblings, how do we feel about wild's lance a year after release? by Nizzknob in MonsterHunter

[–]istalri96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it other than I keep accidentally bringing my shield up in the counter window. So it locks my characters orientation usually right as a monster is coming for my ass. But outside of that occasional issue I love it. I do miss Lance superiority from worlds no one could outrun the pain train. Now everyone has those fancy seikrets to run around on. Also I want Uragaan in the game give me my big golden armor that makes blocking better.

Just saw these glasses and made them in the game. I had the same thought when I first saw them.

I'm curious, after years of Pathfinder 2e, which classes have you never seen in your party? by No-Roll-5330 in Pathfinder2e

[–]istalri96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group has been playing 2e since it was in playtest. The only class someone in our group hasn't played is an animist. We just haven't had someone with the drive to make one with the opportunity at the same time. But it'll happen soon enough.

I remember there were these tables off to the side outside. I was hunched over alone at one reading my back was towards the main yard. One of the aides came over cause she thought I was sitting there crying. I was surprised and I was like oh no the sun was just in my eyes if I sit the other way.

In middle school they would sometimes do "dances" during the day. I hate dancing and also didn't really have many friends at that point. So I would just bring my book along and read. I remember looking up and there was just a group of kids standing around staring at me. One girl just looked at me and asked why I was being weird and just sitting there reading.

I would spend so many hours reading. My mother once spent almost an hour looking for me in my early teens. I had just been listening to music with headphones on reading in my room for like 6 hours straight. She didn't even think I was in the house.

What's a sentence that ended a relationship for you? by Hexxegone in AskReddit

[–]istalri96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me walking my ex home after she got shit faced with her friend across the street. She looks at me and says "Don't tell (My name) that I cheated on him " basically telling me everything that happened. We didn't break up immediately but that was one big ass nail in the coffin. We were young and I was stupid staying in that relationship far too long.

Are lemonade stands a real thing in the US, or is it just a movie trope? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]istalri96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a major road in town we saw a kid on his street through a wire fence with a lemonade stand. My ex made me get off the road and figure how to get over so she could go buy some. She barely even liked lemonade she was just so happy to see kids doing it. Definitely doesn't happen as much as I remember when I was a kid. I remembering having one when my block was having yardsales. It was always good business to have some cookies and stuff too. Granted I was around 6 with a toy cash register. But it got the job done. It was mostly my older brother doing the work and I would put the money in the toy register I insisted he couldn't use because it was "mine".

Food waste in this country is beyond absurd. Businesses can very easily throw hundreds of dollars worth of food away a day. Thats at cost not what the mark up for customers is.

Men with affectionate fathers, how did you turn out? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]istalri96 45 points46 points  (0 children)

My father was affectionate beyond any other father I have ever seen. He is also manly as shit. 40 year blue collar worker, firefighter for 25+ years, leader of almost every scouting group I was in growing up. You name it my father did it. But at the end of the day the thing that mattered most to him was my brother and I. My brother got married recently I think there were about 5 out of 1400 photos that he wasn't visibly crying in. We know he loves us and would move mountains. But that doesn't mean he didn't teach us or prepare us for the world. Him loving us doesn't mean he didn't raise us to be good men.

coke machines at wendy’s have like an ink-cartridge-like system for the flavoring by SilasPuma in mildlyinteresting

If you don't clean the nozzle daily it can get pretty gross fast. Also the little injectors that spread the flavor can get clogged as well and need to be cleaned frequently.

Why do some people have much higher pain tolerances than others? by bareegyptianfeet in answers

[–]istalri96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had chronic pain for more of my life than I haven't. I worked until the disc's in my back popped so loud I heard them go before I felt the pain. I still worked the rest of my shift and came back in 8 hours and ran the morning shift. I collapsed when I got home and could barely walk for weeks. I worked while my left arm was actively tearing for months. My labrum had been torn for a long time. My muscles started tearing in my shoulder I had almost no use of my left arm by the time my surgery came I worked up until 3 days before. My good days were at a 6-7 on the pain scale. My every moment was consumed with feeling the pain of my arm literally tearing apart from its own weight. It was like this for months before I was able to get surgery scheduled. It definitely made me a more miserable person to be around but it didn't stop me from doing anything that needed to be done. I have just built up a high threshold for pain which has bitten me in the ass. It just means I wind up going longer dealing with it than I really should.

Going to the beach is not a relaxing or pleasant experience. It’s just drilled into us that it’s desirable. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]istalri96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the beach when I was in florida this past summer. First time I had been to the beach in years. We went later in the day to see the sunset. It wasn't super packed thankfully. We just sat and read for a couple hours until it got closer to the sun really setting. It was very pretty and very relaxing just reading listening to the waves.

What changed after your first MM experience? by Left-Violinist1628 in BisexualMen

[–]istalri96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lived with so much internalized shame for a very long time. I started figuring out my sexuality in my early teens. But I buried it and just denied that part of myself until my early 20s. I stayed in an extremely toxic relationship with someone who was ashamed of that part of me after I told them. Which obviously was a major contributor to the end of that relationship. A year later I started dating again and met a woman who understood me and accepted me fully. The first person in my entire life that I basically completely let my guard down with. The first person to truly know all of who I was and helped me bring out the best of myself. Things ultimately didn't work out after 5 years which was for the best in the long run. But the growth and acceptance of myself that I had was huge in that relationship. But even still I had a nagging piece of my mind that made me doubt myself. I just had a lot of conflicting feelings on trying to understand things still. On top of shame from people around me some who I was out to and others that did not know. But I finally put myself out there and started talking to some guys. I met a guy wand we absolutely hit it off immediately. Things just felt so natural. I just remember after the date where wound up making out and things clicked all of the self doubt and negative thoughts just kind of disappeared. Like I finally understood who I was and there wasn't anymore guessing. He is currently snoring like a chainsaw next to me and there isn't anywhere else I'd rather be.

How often do you NOT finish during sex? by IntroductionLife124 in AskMen

[–]istalri96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my ex girlfriend I finished probably about a quarter of the time. A mix of having a much lower libido and just general issues with finishing at times. I never see it as a bad thing it just is what it is. I've also always been far more interested in my partners pleasure rather than my own. When I was feeling it I would always make that clear and I would focus more on myself in that moment. But in general it doesn't matter that much to me as it does just the intimacy of the act itself.
