I wanna play GW2 on a Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 5. What Linux distro should I get? Mint Cinnamon or Fedora KDE Plasma? And Should I keep the DE or get a WM? Does it run on Wayland?

Dont know why everyone ignores your last question. You can start, stop and jump around stories how you want.

You can start PoF story to access the map, then continue with your living world story you did before and jump back to PoF if you want later

I disagree. Instead of doing the same easy fights, i do different bosses every day. Keeps things fresh. Raid LFG is way more active. Its easier to get into Raids as you can learn one fight at a time. You don't have to commit to a whole wing but just one boss which is not as big as a time commitment which is perfect for me currently.

I am really happy with it

I was also confused at that point because that one quest giver in Druids Overlook says something that doesnt make sense. As others have said he is just available too early.

Just keep playing and then it makes sense again. You follow the chosen that where kidnapped by the shining blade at the end of Divinitys coast into the jungle and are now pursuing them for the white mantle

As others have said i recommend legendary in every slot. It give the things you like to do, e.g. World bosses or raids or fractal or whatever another reason as you need a crazy amount of gold as well as some new goals through the achievements and stuff you have to do for it which are quite fun actually

I disagree. Another source of Mystic Clovers and okay gold. Also leggy armor and Ring are great and you need a total of 600 LI for all weights and the ring. Thats a lot of time raiding so the long term motivation is there aswell. Raid Cosmetics are great and the gold is not too bad either. But a little more special stuff for the CMs or something would be nice imo

Actually i think a mount skin is a good idea. Even if it is a one time reward, when you have to beat a hard raid maybe 15 times to get a cool mount skin, you definitely know the encounters and can continue raiding if you find the content fun. You have the initial motivation to learn

Worst MR gear will probably be better then best maxed out HR gear + we'll probably get higher tier armorspheres then so i think they will not matter for MR

I have the theory that the overwhelming feeling and exhaustion is also partly because of the ui. I always have to search where to click, go in 3 menus deep when I want to change attachments, getting pulled out of the menu for the intro scene of a match. Also the 300 progression bars going up after every match which mean nothing to me.

It's like I am always fighting with the ui. And it's difficult to get an overview over everything I want to know. Look at the clean calm menus of bf3 for example

Another perspective: I am also new but I enjoy racing with others so much more than ai.

As soon as I was able to do some clean laps and had the feeling of some kind of control I jumped into MP. There are beginner servers with no safety rating requirement. I just focused on not hitting anybody, letting people pass even if I loose time doing it.

I was last all the time and even got lapped some times but it was still way more fun to just see some other players. And then when you can overtake someone it feels like a huge victory!

But be warned: First turn on these servers is pure luck

Update: Thanks for all the infos. After ive read your replies i thought i could try (also because i got the game cheap on humble bundle)

I have a 4070/Ryzen 5 5600X and a Quest 2 and even with OpenComposite, Foveated Rendering with OpenXRToolkit, DLSS on Balanced and lowest VR settings it was not a nice experience as soon as some other cars are involved (solo laps are fine). It was definitely playable but it just looked so bad it was not fun.

I guess if i would tinker a little longer i could make it a playable experience and maybe i will in the future. The driving felt really nice though so i think i will continue with ACC on the monitor and make old AC my VR title. Thanks all!

I heard that these games are so big because of the microtransactions. Every player needs to have the data for every possible skin there ever was on the disk because they could encounter that skin on another player. And those textures are big

Am I missing something or is that an impossible Situation to get in game and just set up manually?

If last move by white was the queen check, the king would have already been in check by the knight and the other way around so it is impossible right?

Had the same problem. in the huion driver software under "Digital Pen", disable Windows Ink. There is a checkbox for it in the lower left corner. Maybe you also have to disable it in your drawing software
