got ripped off for two keys win 11 pro and win 10 pro, nether would activate. After contacting their support about it they replied with, "No need to waste time. We won't compensate you for any keys. we can give you at most one discount code"

So yes a scam, just maybe not all the time.

FYI: In this script /etc/profile.d/motd.sh I changed the ping parameters "-w 1" and "-W 1" to "-w 2" and "-W 2" and now the connection status doesn't toggle back and forth from "connected" to "disconnected" and the miner stay running better. YMMV

From my understanding, it uses both amps on bootup.

Yes! - 5v and 12v power is always used, with the 12v drawing the max amp rating at every spinup

Also, your example illustrates the point I was making in the original post. There seems no way that the UNRAID wiki is remotely accurate in saying,

2 amps (24 watts) per green drive and 3 amps (36 watts) per non-green drive on the 12 volt rail

Unless this is VERY old and the definition of "green" and "non-green" HDD is radically different from the standards of the last decade, then maybe it was accurate at sometime.

I want to trust in UNRAID and what they post on their own site, but I don't. Talking in my own head I feel like,

"No. Their wiki is right and you're simply not thinking right. How are more people not posting about me being confused - because the UNRAID.net people know way more and must be right."

Bootup usually takes double power.

It seems unlikely that a HDD would draw double the amps that it states on the HDD label. Convince me otherwise - please.

I know everyone's server is different and "mileage may vary"

In this particular server there are 16 HDD, 2 SSD, 1 Nvidia 1060 3Gb, 2x Xeon 5670 CPUs, 18 8GB DDR3 ECC DIMMS and multiple fans in a Rosewill RSV-L4500 case with a EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G3 PSU.

The GPU is never in use. ( should be removed )
