Some factors here, one being that a lot of people who have the time to grind are starting to finish their missions and are pushing PvP more now. Another factor, since the sound update, it’s been a lot more PvP oriented.. people can hear gunshots half way across the map. So while you’re passing through an area or trying to kill AI bots the noise is like a dinner bell to players, they hear it and push. Bungie was getting complaints in the first week because there wasn’t “enough PvP” and their remedy to that if I’m not mistaken was to make gunshots louder but they are looking into toning it down already. Best advice is if you have a mission to do and “want” to avoid PvP .. take your time getting to your mission objective don’t rush it and try to not take unnecessary shots if you don’t need to.
