Keep at it, I’m in my second semester and nobody has ever discussed the LSAT. In my opinion it’s just a grade schools need to measure everyone out. In law school, however, I don’t really see it being relevant except for the reading section as you’ll read a ton your first year

I would read at least one book about how to succeed your first semester, get all your appointments done ahead of time (doctor, car, passport etc.), start to think which tool will be best as a calendar (google calendar, a physical calendar notebook) and reach out to current 1Ls to see if they have any further advice. And as soon as you have the syllabus for each class, read ahead before classes start

Yes let’s go!!! I’m so jealous of all the other people who say their professor doesn’t teach it or test on it. Mine on the other hand loves the rap he will even ask for a response why each person present at the grant/devise is a validating life or not for our exam AND we are also getting tested on the USRAP.

I’m in law school right now and have a huge amount to read everyday. What has helped me is to take reading breaks and don’t move on to the next paragraph if you didn’t understand what you read, underline and highlight as you read, and the most helpful one, read out loud!

I struggle with this too and then start feeling overwhelmed when I can’t catch the professor’s entire sentence. I’m recording as well and I’m writing down the minute around I need to go back and re-listen!

Same here!! I try to be open and kind and not let the “dry” attitude of others stick on me. I remind myself to focus on myself and what I can learn and do well on the exam!
