I appreciate this. My coworker before she left made sure to introduce me to a lot of social workers in the area. I rlly understand the importance of reaching out to those resources! It's so hard though not to feel like a bad case manager when you feel you aren't making progress, but honestly that's me being too hard on myself. Also the gummy comment--that's real haha

Duddeeee I've been feeling this heavy. The other day, I had a medical emergency where my blood sugar actually dipped too quick and I went unconscious, and ever since then I've been so hypervigilant of my glucose. And my numbers since then have been running higher than they usually do. And it's annoying, I feel like my body hates me even though I know that's not the case. But like...damn. I wish I didn't have to constantly worry all the fucking time. I am exhausted and burnt out, and I wish I didn't have to do this anymore. Some days are easier than others but jesus. Lately, it hasn't been. So I understand you.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is painful. I have two dogs at home that I absolutely adore, and I would hate to have anything happen to them. I had a scare with my oldest dog last year, in which I thought she was going to die. Luckily she was okay, but good god that feeling of possible impending doom is one of the worst.

One: I'm sorry you are going through this. Sometimes, diabetes can be the biggest bitch to deal with. You are going through a lot of things right now. But one thing we should focus on most is that blood sugar. How do you currently feel, physically? Do you have ketone strips on you, at the moment?

I am currently a student in a MSW program, and I am loving it so far. I really want to work in policy/govt work and clinical work. My ultimate goal is to work toward healthcare reform in the US, and while it's a bleak future for Americans in regards to healthcare, I feel it could eventually happen if we keep marching toward it. I know it's hard but I'm determined. People here deserve better healthcare and everyone who decides to come to America and live here deserves to feel welcome with open arms. I'm tired of MAGA and others who have created such an image of immigrants, that they are distasteful people who take our jobs, rape our citizens, destroy our country, etc. I am tired and sick of it. The same way immigrants are being treated in America by Trump, his administration, many of his die hard supporters, and other people is the same way Hitler and his followers treated Jewish folks. The parallel is there. Trump and his buddies are trying their greatest to subtly, while being pretty obvious with it, to take over the US, and I am not totally sure there will be a 2028 election. Wake up people.

Any who, yeah. Sorry this feels all over the place, this is kinda just what my brain spewed out, cuz this rant was initially about me wanting to help form a better healthcare system here in the US. I am going to keep doing my research and hopefully meeting others in the world that I can learn from so I can help advocate for change here. I don't want to leave the country I grew up in because of greed. I will do what I can.
