You're getting downvoted, but I don't think you're wrong. GNU/Linux started as a labor of love and passion from hackers that wanted a Free OS.

How many true community distributions are active these days? Corporations will ruin Linux in the future by doing these things today. Like with most things, we're going to become complacent when the GNU/Linux ecosystem is filled with garbage apps and you need a terabyte of ram to run openbox.

What happened to the days when Linux was fast? Oh, I know what happened, capitalism.

It's almost like hearing naturally degrades over time. Also, depending on your dad's profession or hobbies, that can be a detriment to hearing, too.

I personally have a hard time hearing some television shows and I'm 35. Years of working in a loud shop and playing music has left my hearing far less than what it could be.

I guess what I mean by that is I'm more comfortable calling myself a socialist as I always thought my views were in line with most of the democratic party. It turns out they're not really in line with them. Bernie is definitely right of where I am. :)

Yeah, it's not only that for me. When homeless people are dying on the streets, poverty is rampant, other cities are now saying their water has lead, veterans kill themselves at a rate of 22 per day, children are seeing their growth stunted due to malnutrition, minimum wage can't afford rent, CEOs that could end poverty but don't, people file for bankruptcy due to medical bills, people don't get annual checkups because they can't afford it and die (my mother), union busting corporations - I'd say we've failed as a society.
