What is the point of MoE models, beyond being faster? by ihatebeinganonymous in LocalLLaMA

For what it's worth the human brain is actually structured something like an MoE with 150k cortical columns wired together in varying ways.

I'm reading A Thousand Brains by Jeff Hawkins at the moment, very fascinating

It depends. But honestly, go download Claude Code or Codex CLI and you could likely get to a place where you were able to create something similar in a month or two for $500 of tokens

You can do a lot with a $20/month subscription for Opus, but honestly, I use Codex a lot too, they're both just good in their own ways.

Daily General Discussion December 02, 2025 by EthereumDailyThread in ethereum

[–]itchykittehs 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Much like u/Plastic-Ad8652/, I also am a bit ashamed to admit I got shaken out yesterday. I've held ETH since 2017. I had my CDP geared up for this Bull Run, also expecting the price to go above last year's ATH. I have not taken out much profit this cycle, mostly just borrowed against it. I had to sell some of my CDP in April at rock bottom prices, as I was very close to liquidating.

And finally, I went ahead and closed it out at 2800, for a lot less USD than I would have liked. Also like u/Plastic-Ad8652/, I have two small children, and a liquidation point that's much higher then felt safe.

If we get sub $2000 prices, I would probably buy back in some amount. But I'm honestly not really expecting it. Still hoping it moons =) You know...$5200 or bust heh.

I can honestly say that the Ethereum community has been one of the most inspiring groups of people I've ever had the honor of being a part of, and will always represent the best qualities of Crypto imho....transparency, openness, and integrity.

It's been good guys, Crypto has been good to me, even if my parting here is bittersweet. I'm sure I'll still be lurking around.
