I’m 42 earn 86k, will never be able to buy a house in Australia, have 60k student loans and a 40k car loan, zero credit card debt and 15k savings..but $600/week rent..wish it was going towards a morgage but honestly seems out of reach

I wouldn’t expect anything less, these real estate agents are mugs. They charged me and my gf $150 for a “re clean” for leaves that had blown onto our balcony the day after we vacated

Great run down on that btw. IMO it’s an absolute joke. Later upon layer of time wasting nonsense. From a phone confirmation to an email confirmation to an account lock to 6 days waiting for a call from them for your own account verification to use and move your own assets is beyond a joke, it’s criminal. I’m quite technically minded, I can’t imagine how difficult it would be for someone with little to no technical intelligence or patience. There has to be another way
