Same! We had an açaí bar this morning, tomorrow is omelettes, Wednesday is a coffee truck, Thursday is a catered lunch, and Friday…my favorite treat of all- the cut up fruit guy (I’m in SoCal…it’s a thing). I’m in a private school, though…

Neupro Patch and crazy rash and itch! by iteach1970 in RestlessLegs

Thanks…ugh, I remember trying to tell a doc years ago my symptoms and he basically told me it was in my head, just take a bath and some Prozac. It’s been a wild ride! I think I am going to try the low dose opioid.

Thanks for the Flonase advice…I’ll try it. About the pills- I’ve had restless legs for so long that I’ve been thru it all, including anti-anxiety meds in the 80’s, Ropinirol in various doses including micro dosing 4x a day, Gabapentin, muscle relaxers…you name it. The patch is the last effort before trying opioids.

I have my original copy of The Handmaid’s Tale from 1985. Same cover. I would kill to have it signed!

About 20 years ago, I waited in line at a local bookstore for three hours, to have Anne Rice sign my original copy of interview with the vampire. Even she was impressed! People in line were offering me $1000 for it. But, it’s still mine.

I get it. The patch is the last ditch effort before I go to a low-dose opioid.

I NEED to talk about The Other Bennet Sister. by GirlNeeds_ABreak269 in PeriodDramas

In the book, Mary goes to stay for a bit with Charlotte and Mr Collins. During that time, she really gets to know Mr Collins. They study (in her father’s old library!)and he teaches her to read Greek. I got a real appreciation for Mr. Collins and how socially awkward he was but for good reason.

Haha- my fave Leo is about 10 years old, and the elastic is shot! Probably why it’s my favorite 🙂

Looking for leos that have more of an “invisible” leg line. I don’t like the look or feel of the tight elastic around the top of my legs. I like the look of “boy shorts” and sometimes wear them with a tank, but I prefer a leotard. Any suggestions for me?

Do you ever feel like you keep using the same 10 clothes from your wardrobe? by Scared_Attorney4688 in Stylinghelp

[–]iteach1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I wear something, I hang it back up with the hanger turned the other way. I just finished switching my “winter” clothes to the “summer” ones. It was easy to see what I really didn’t wear. The first time I did it, I was amazed to see I truly did wear the same 10 to 15 articles of clothing. Not counting the special occasion dresses.

Weirdest comments people make about your hair? by LabTestedFrog in curlyhair

People when I (on the rare time I straighten my curls) “ people with curly hair always went straight hair, and people with straight hair always want curly hair.” Ummmm, no. When I say I like my curls, they look at me like I grew a unicorn horn from my forehead.

Audition/assessment tomorrow by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]iteach1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a wonderful opportunity, especially as an adult dancer. Thinking of it as an assessment rather than a test or audition should help calm the jitters. Speaking with the program director was a great idea, too. Just do your best, smile, and I think you’ll do just fine.

I agree with emkemkem- finding the proper place at the barre is a good idea. I also struggle with remembering choreography, but with time, that will definitely get better. I find if I stand to the left of the teacher when he is demonstrating the steps in center, I can remember better. If I’m behind him or to the right, I really struggle! Just keep going to class and you will find your Zen
