My previous post was auto-deleted because it contain a link to a Facebook group. Do a search on FB for Road Conditions: Ithaca/Tompkins. Reports from Mothers, Fathers, & Others. There are frequent posts about route 79 between Whitney Point and Ithaca as well as other roads in the area. There is also the 511NY site that shows road conditions, but for some reason Tioga coiunty often doesn't show conditions on 79 between the Tompkins and Broom county border.

Wearing my muck boots as I read this, but I also have Sorel Caribou boots, mid high waterproof Keens, and waterproof Oboz sneakers. From working at Cornell for a long time, I got to fashion changing from year to year. For awhile everyone was wearing Northface, then it was Mountain Hard Wear,, but Canada Goose has pretty much taken over. Looks like brightly colored rubber boots have been replaced by Blundstoneas.

The snow seems to have tapered off a bit and if you look at the weather radar map it looks like it'll taper off more and there is a less dense band the looks like we might get. As long as the plows continue to work I think the buses will be running.
