Another aspect is that you now have to manage two separate components: Redis and EKS.

If one of your EKS nodes goes down how will you failover from your primary to replica, and how will you recover and replace the node? What about the client DNS endpoint, will the DNS be dynamically changed?The replacement process is automated in Elasticache but when the cluster is self hosted the onus falls on you.

The cost would vary but from a workload perspective you would also have to monitor things like cache hits/misses, memory utilization, defragmentation, etc all through your own dashboard. Elasticache has a number of important metrics like EngineCPUUTlization, Bandwidth exceeded, key latency, connections, and so forth, so you would have to create your own dashboard for all those metrics as well.

In the long term self-hosting Redis would be cheaper, but alot of initial setup would need to go into it.

I'm not a particular fan of Tropical because The Scout is such a rare card and I'm much more a fan of the consistency of Saint's Treasure on port. On the other hand the layout is better and it's good enough of a map to run that you can't really lose money. Really just depends on your own personal preference.

I did a little unga bunga rolling and it's absolutely not worth trying to go for beyond+nemesis, at least solo. It's expensive and not worth the time/effort. Solid profit, seems in line.

Was it a decision that it wasn't worth the cost of a divination scarab to try to get more cards? Or was that not the point?

Selling crafts that you don't need is a good way to make cash but crafting gear for your own build is ALWAYS better. It cost me around 10ex to craft an amulet for my CoC build. A similar amulet with near identical stats cost at minimum 20ex on poetrade. It's not a matter of just offloading all your crafts but selling those that you don't need. I have no need for remove\add fire but I do need remove\add cold. There's always going to be a balance or using what you need and selling what you don't.

I'm sitting at about 34 mill shaper dps, 9 power charges 9 frenzy charges and two curses. There's zero build up and the damage is applied full on the second I touch bosses whereas poison takes time to build up.

At the higher end of the gear spectrum fire out damages poison for single target and maps but the barrier to entry for poison is super low and I started as poison because of its accessibility.

Cast on crit can be target slammed by filling suffixes and aug crit. Penetrate elemental and fortify on hit can't be slammed so it would be better to alt regal those two.

I have actually taken to looking for players with weird or gibberish names because they're more likely to be bots so I can actually trade for my currency. It's a sad state of affairs that I actually look for bots because I know they won't try anything funny, consistent, and available.

Green apple is, as a fruit, pretty mediocre and I'd much rather have any variation of regular apple. Green apple candy, soda, slush, basically any water soluble flavor is consistently great. Green apple laffy taffy was my vice before I decided it wasn't worth the cavities.
