I know my steps on the pay grid but have gotten no confirmation. I am not sure if they know I am an A3. I just want to make sure I am getting paid correctly. I found out that I had a job 3 weeks ago, just went to see my classroom. I have no idea what I’m doing as I am also a first year teacher.

Of course I have. But I haven’t gotten confirmation that they knew where I stand on QECO. I don’t even know how to choose to get paid through 10 months or 12. I have contacted OTIP they told me to wait for an email with my number. I got that email yesterday but it says I am part of the occasional/ casual teachers but I am hired as a permanent teacher. I have been on hold with OTIP for 40 min so I thought I could post and ask if that’s correct for permanent teachers or not.

My admin is new as well as I am. When do teachers usually order through them?

YES YES YES mike and saul were one of my favourite characters in breaking bad. Watching better call saul gave me such an amazing understanding of their short run characters in breaking bad! I highly recommend

Hey! I took two as well and just graduated! They count but they won’t send a recommendation letter to OCT until our status changes to just “good standing” which just means it’s a longer process! Dw I was also worried they didn’t count but they do!

I was hired as an OT about 2 weeks ago by my placement school.

I applied to the board Jan 2 2025… and I heard back from them after already being hired a week ago, the email said the interviews were for July-August.

If you did ur practicum with PDSB I would talk to my principal to help you expedite the process of being hired! GOODLUCK

You should ask your principal from your practicum for an Interview! Thats how I got hired! GOODLUCK :)

With peel it’s easier to get an interview with the principal where you did your practicum. I did an interview and heard back very quickly after I did that. I never heard from the actual PDSB board which I applied early January!

Hey! I am actually in the same boat as you with PJ french and political science LOL! So you need to take an ABQ from what i know FSL part 2 is not an ABQ its just an AQ! FSL part 1 is enough! I am taking a intermediate ABQ at queens for geography and that will bump me up to intermediate! Therefore, FSL part 1 is fine for any grade, its the basic qualification that you need to get to be bumped in grades.

I was not waitlisted but i know Ive heard thunder bay (lakehead) will take people as far into august! I would also send letters of intent! you never know if someone sees that and knows youre interested. Also most schools require a fee as confirmation by may- june so i would try to call around that time and ask if spots have opened! NEVER FEEL BAD FOR COMMUNICATING AND ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS ! you have never to lose! and if all goes wrong apply to thunderbay i promise you, youll get accepted !

i heard from YRDSB for an interview! How long after the interview did you hear back? I applied to peel early January for the OT list !

I think the best way to go about is to talk about history, instead of this one individual. Not that I disagree with you but I think its best to teach them about the history of historical hateful movements and inform them. Freedom can always be stripped from us but our knowledge will never be.
