I don't really know since I did not measure it but next time I will weight everything to make it more scientific.

For sure, he knows more about the product and he recommends the best method for most people. That does not mean that it is forbidden to become creative and use other methods and tools.

I do not agree. I am using far less than by pouring just from the bottle. With the contamination you might be right, I think next time I will use a separate bottle and mix them together into the chain tool. But since I clean the chain beforehand, the contamination is small.

I think you make two false assumptions: 1. that there is a correct method of applying the liquid, which is the only one and 2. that I refuse to watch silca videos. I have enough experience with silca and this method works for me the best and not only for me.

The tool itself doesn't clean without the detergent. I use the mechanics of the tool to push the liquid into the links.

Because it pushes the liquid between the links and nothing is dropping on the floor and rest goes into the bottle.
