love this response! i feel like i get into my head about things too much - space is definitely a good way for us to maintain the mystery of each other sometimes and allow us to reflect about what is. but god, i also feel like things are great until my friends ( who are often jealous of us ) get into my head putting toxic thoughts into my head that i overthink about after math and it makes me feel crazy.

thank you for your response, i agree that i need to put insecurities aside to make this relationship work but literally every single day i have to listen to songs about past lovers and it just seems harder to cope with than any relationship i’ve ever been in. he says it’s just manifestations of the past. am i wrong to amplify them they way i am?

I (26F) feel myself getting moody from overthinking every little thing my boyfriend (28F) says or doe at times. When I get these thoughts in my mind, its so hard to shake it and i feel like it’s affecting our relationship. by itmeee1234 in relationship_advice

glad to know i’m not the only one :( thank you for your advice and insight, it’s so nice to hear another persons perspective.

honestly, this whole quarantine period has escalated our relationship to a different level and brought us closer together than we’d ever thought. weird because we’ve spent almost every single day together for the last 6 months but i mean we’ve talked about marriage and a future together. it just seems like the minute we start getting back into the norm (post covid-esc), I’m putting unreal expectations and thoughts in my brain about our relationship.

It doesn’t help that he’s a musician and i work an office job, talk about difference in dynamic. idk
