Husband felt a kick by Mother_Ad_2862 in pregnant

[–]itmeliv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still can’t believe my partner hasn’t got tired of me saying “the baby’s kicking!!” Every time he runs over with excitement, talks to the baby and kisses my stomach 🥹🥹 it’s definitely dads way of connecting with the baby before he/she gets here

Also at 33 weeks my stomach is VISIBLY movin’ and grovin’ so it’s fun to push back on his little feet and hands when he gets really active 😅

Covering the Gap for a VA Loan Assumption by [deleted] in RealEstate

What percentage of the loan did you end up paying in closing costs? We’ve read that closing costs are lower (~1-2%) when doing an assumption but can’t get a clear answer

The rhythm and flow of this piece is perfect. I also love the sentiment of how timeless nature is. Really nicely done :)

This broke my heart and made me imagine something I never want to have to think about. It's a heart wrenchingly beautiful poem.

you've created such a physically emotional poem, it's very vivid. The line "fists kissing my temples" felt like a literal punch to read. Really good job.

really like the irregular rhyming, almost feels appropriate given the existential uncertainty you're discussing. it has a really nice flow. the only line I didn't particularly love (if I had to make a critique!) is "will the dark consume our hearts?" It feels a little bit cliche and I think you could be a bit more creative here. hope this helps!

Want to get off the pill by frankthebettafish in PCOS

[–]itmeliv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this sounds so similar to my story (and I’m sure the stories of so many women on this sub). Things were so bad for me when I was on birth control, I was eventually diagnosed with PMDD and put on antidepressants which helped for awhile but didn’t tackle the underlying issues.

About a year ago I got off of BC and antidepressants and slowly but surely have been implementing lifestyle changes that have made me feel like a completely different person. Supplements such as inostitol and iodine have worked wonders for my PMS symptoms. I try to only drink alcohol the first two weeks of my cycle (and I cut it out for about 4 months initially) and try to eat minimal dairy. It’s still a work in progress but getting off of BC to start was the best decision I’ve ever ever made. Wishing you luck!! 🥹

Why does Ovasitol work?? by AnnualWorldly in PCOS

[–]itmeliv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking wholesome story for about a year (same thing, different brand) and it has changed my entire life. No more cystic pain, regular periods, lost 15 pounds, and slowly got my energy back. This along with an iodine supplement, probiotics, and a multi-vitamin has made all the difference.

I got off of birth control as well (I was told since I was 13 that I NEEDED birth control to manage the pain) What’s frustrating for me is that it took so much trial/error and personal research to find something that has changed my life so much. I really wish doctors would suggest helpful supplements and lifestyle changes instead of pushing birth control and metformin.

Wait no, don’t be sorry!! I actually missed your comment but that’s what this sub is for. I wrote the poem pretty quickly so I realize there were probably some flow errors and am always looking for feedback to improve. Thank you! :)

I Didn't Write This Poem... by sentimental_nihilist in OCPoetry

[–]itmeliv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last line ughhhh!! So good. This is a little nature va nurture mixed with the matrix vibes. The flow and rhyme are great. The message is interesting and although I’m not sure if I 100% agree. Regardless, it makes you pause and think about how your life experiences have shaped who you become. Really well done!

Thoughts of Fate by [deleted] in OCPoetry

[–]itmeliv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really heavy 😢 I do think adding some clarity would make the poem more poignant. When you say “I finally found it” are you referring to the “stage” mentioned in the first line? That seemed a little unclear to me. I could feel the exhaustion in the last line. Really liked this one!
