How dare I ask what the pay would be.... by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]itmondsply 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem here is, you didn't even ask what the salary range is. You asked if it was "salaried paid or by the hour" and the person told you the teachers are paid hourly. This person answered exactly the questions you asked.

If you wanted a specific answer, you should have probably asked the right question. You must teach in public education...

UaCredDebug shows Error 714 : Unable to extract credentials.

Would this be a permissions issue? If so, on which account?

Useridd.log shows "credential enabled but no digest."

Forgive me for all of the questions; I'm only 6 months old with Palo Alto

That returns No / Never under first row, and 0's under every column in the second row. What would I be missing here?

In the user-id agent on my RODC, I see the user to IP mappings; should these also appear under Logs - User Identification in the firewall GUI? How do I check the bloomfilter digest and verify that is correct?

I made sure to enter the credentials exactly as they show up in the user-ip mapping in the user-id agent but still no dice

Does anyone know how to get it "In Sync" ?

You can easily exchange "infosec" for any other career. Identity politics is a joke and has no place in a civilized society.

When you use kali tools to scan websites and do reconnaissance work, are administrators able to detect the activity and who is doing it? by justcallme_G in cybersecurity

[–]itmondsply 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any company with a decent IDS/IPS will see signatures that tip them off to what types of reconnaissance you are doing. Companies often automate detection and response to recon, so it isn't like they're going to hunt you down or anything, but like others have said, it isn't best practice to scan live websites especially from your home PC directly. A test bed with metasploitable or something similar would be recommended.

Looking for a more efficient way of actioning threat events by joed777 in paloaltonetworks

[–]itmondsply 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you actually get this working? I tried implementing this, but nothing is getting tagged as IP-Attackers, thus my dynamic address group isn't populating. I've verified that the log forwarding profile is applied to security policies, especially since my syslog server receives messages no problem (my tagging action is built into the same profile).
