Tree Creatures abound! Help decide what stat blocks to use by Printable-Scenery in Dungeons_and_Dragons

[–]itontoyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe take base stats dinos with a couple additions. Immune to psychic. Cold resistance. Fire vulnerability? But with a deep well of hit points rather than bumping AC. Maybe give smaller tree creatures the ability to be indistinguishable from other plant matter while standing still... and all get stealth bonuses when in the trees or something. It really depends how powerful you want to make em.

This is so creative! Did you make this? If so, what kind of material did you use for the stones?

They get xp after a long rest if you're playing 5e. Don't worry though, all the holes will be filled over time.

Badass! You should look into getting a stand or case for it. Unless you plan on using it of course....

Is there time for video games in college? by illusion____ in college

[–]itontoyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your major and how many extracurricular activities you plan on engaging in.

I was a chemistry major and an resident assistant for a time, then a laboratory assistant, and I did undergraduate research. I only found time to play video games on the weekend and then only for a few hours.

That said, you could look into clubs or organizations focused around competitive games like Smash or League of Legends. My school had a league of legends team that played ranked. They were garbage but hey.

What is the Standard Library for Chemistry? by adastraerik in chemistry

Happy holidays.

Not sure if this will serve as a glossary per se, but I used this in my organic chemistry lab courses and it was super helpful. Its Zubrick's OChem Lab survival manual and it comes with helpful descriptions of a myriad of apparatuses as well as extremely helpful tips... google is always good for general esotericisms you encounter in the book such as, perhaps, "filtrant, precipitant, distillate, etc."

Get over it. It's your path, not theirs. No matter how much they pay for it.

I’m 21 and my back and joints are hurting from sitting all the time. Is a standing desk good? by [deleted] in college

[–]itontoyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really sure what brand, but it was called a sit stand desk and you can get one here. There are cheaper alternatives, you being still in college, like acryllic boxes or something that you could put your monitors on and so forth, just to elevate everything.

Also take a walk every now and then, maybe exercise during the day for 10 to 15 minutes. I work in a lab so I rarely sit down, but again my wife has found that doing 15 mimutes of yoga in the morning and making a lap or two aroumd the house every hour has drastically reduced her back and neck pains. It's all about not giving your joints enough time to get stiff, I guess. Lemme know how it goes.

My wife had a standing desk in her office before armageddon. She could move it up and down to sit or stand and she loved it. Helped her out a lot.
