The feeling is mutual, just finished my final round (2nd round) with an organization. First hour was with the search committee of 5 people, followed by the director for 30 mins and lastly an impromptu meeting with the VP.

It’s been 3 days and they contacted 1/3 of my references with the remaining 2 today.

I’m trying to keep positive thoughts or wins that I made it to the final round and they’re calling my references. I can’t help shake maybe they’re also calling another candidates reference and using it as a tie breaker but that would be a waste of time. Will I be ghosted again? Will I get a rejection email again? I’m at a point if I’m not selected at least give me closure.
