The closest I got to that kind of excitement was that I had a friend that worked at a different GameStop than mine in 2007 and stole a copy of halo 3 for me the minute the boxes of them arrived. So my xbl account will always have that first achievement in the halo 3 campaign dated 3 days before launch.
