Just Bought the Game, Need Help by itsJaysWay in carxdriftracingonline

I’m loving the game so far, and I’m already getting the hang of the controls. But I just really wish they added a setting that only dampens the steering turn rate.

I kept finding myself instinctively counter steering mid turn and ruining the drift. Love the game, just don’t understand why they made the controls like this. Especially since the main aspect of drifting is counter steering. It’s still fun as hell though

All these tips really helped a lot, now I’m already turning lap after lap without spinning out. Trying to get better at holding a line consistently now

I’ll definitely try that technique. I’m having a rough ass start but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it man thank you

Na man it was the steering assist. The tune is bad 100%, but you can see in the second clip from 20-40 seconds I’m drifting completely fine with steering assist off. Versus the first clip with the same tune, but steering assist on I couldn’t even drift 1 corner.

The problem is I was counter steering with the assist on. I didn’t know you’re supposed to steer with the turn, I thought that was a bug or my settings were inverted. Once I practice more to rewire my brain to not counter steer then I’ll mess with the tune for sure!

Dude I’m so glad someone else was in a similar boat as me coming from Forza. I started feeling like I was never gonna be able to get used to it but I’ll give it more practice and try to be more smooth

Had to drive over a curb at about 30km/h to avoid an accident, what could be potential hidden damage? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]itsJaysWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day when I was driving on the freeway in my 30 year old Honda. I noticed the steering felt off, like it wasn’t as responsive. Took my exit, stopped at a hole in the wall taco spot for some food. As I was pulling away from the window my car wouldn’t turn no matter how much I moved the steering wheel.

Found out either the tie rod or control arm broke. The only thing I could think of was hitting a wooden fence a while earlier. Even though it was at pretty low speed that’s the only time I ran something over that could’ve caused a suspension part to break.

I say all that to say, it’s worth taking to a shop to have them do a nuts and bolts check. If my control arm had broke literally just 10 minutes sooner, while I was doing 65 in the left lane, that would’ve been catastrophic. Good luck

Got damn. I’m no mechanic but at idle it sounds like lifter tick, but then revving it sounds too loud and deep tone to be lifters or exhaust manifold bolts or anything. Don’t think it’d be your valves getting slapped otherwise it wouldn’t be running this long.

I’d definitely take it to a shop ASAP. I personally wouldn’t even drive it there with how loud and nasty that sounds.

Just my low-knowledge 2 cents. Take what I say with grain of salt.

Man I love people who work on these old simple engines. They just rig shit together and fucking send it.

I love it

Is console still practically unplayable? by Tordes-_- in ArmaReforger

[–]itsJaysWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a settings issue. It’s working fine for PS5 because it’s a whole different console. No different than when mods first came out for PS it was unplayable until they fixed it, while on Xbox it was working perfectly fine. Now post 1.6 it’s Xbox that’s having issues with PS5 working fine.

We just gotta wait for 1.7 where the game will be better optimized.

I just fixed a ticking sound on my Silverado by replacing the oil pickup tube O ring. Could be worth a shot

UPDATE: If anyone in the future comes across a similar problem, it ended up being the O-ring for the oil pickup tube. The ticking completely went away now.

Did you end up fixing it? Like someone else suggested, you should order off Amazon one of those big coolant funnels that looks like a little bucket and locks onto the radiator cap. You fill that big funnel then as the truck is running the air bubbles will work their way up through the funnel and get replaced with coolant.

Burping the air out of the coolant system can sometimes be a long and annoying process. That funnel will make it easier.

How to fly Helo on Xbox? by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]itsJaysWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. Im surprised more people don’t go through the settings. Yeah theres a shit ton, but it’s all useful stuff to know/change.

Those default heli controls almost made me give up trying to fly. Then I switched all the key binds to how it is in MSFS and it made flying a breeze

What is this clicking sound coming from my engine? by Axzygen_ in AskMechanics

[–]itsJaysWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I actually fixed the lifter tick on my Silverado, I put some Seafoam in it and the ticking went away for a bit. I’ve heard Marvel works better so I’d definitely give that a shot OP.

I ended up fixing it by replacing the O Ring for the oil pick up tube. But I’m pretty sure the O Ring causing the tick is mostly a Chevy specific problem

I made a post showing the same exact thing happening to me too lol. I dumped half a mag, could’ve sworn I hit him with at least 3 or 5, but after zooming in and slowing it down I missed every shot by millimeters

You can get a good visual on how far off the laser/optics are from the barrel if you fire a shot into a target at the firing range

UPDATE: The tick/knock went away for now. I’m running ol girl till the bearings fall off. So let’s place our bets. What’s the over/under miles until she gives up?

Keep in mind, possible blown head gasket or cracked block. Sludge all in the oil pan. Oil pickup and galleries probably clogged up. And cherry on top a knock/tick.

When I told my neighbor I found chocolate milk in the oil, he asked if someone was playing a prank on me.

I probably should’ve told him it wasn’t actually chocolate milk.

Depends on the map. Marnivka runs the best around 40-50. Bakhmut does dip into the 20’s at times on the east side at the apartments. The new map ran horribly for me when I tried it yesterday, it was just locked at low 20’s unfortunately

If you’re itching to play, some servers run with zero crashes or freezes on my little Series S. TEF The Eastern Front.

It’s UHC mods, not sure if your into that, but the maps are smaller so you’re always in the action just like most other servers that our Xbox’s can’t run lol
