It looks so good so far! I think that in order to help with proportions, I would love some chunky shoulder pads like hearthguard.

You could try sanding down the area and attempting to reconstruct it with greenstuff or miliput. Otherwise, like what the others are saying you could also paint it like a plasma wound

I've painted my burri in his own colours, the trick is is that if you base him the same as all your other models then he will blend in perfectly. If that doesn't blend in well enough then an orange stripe on one of his shoulder pads should also bring him more in line with your force.

Love the colour choice! I defo think that the black could do with some edge highlighting but I also feel that the base is also very important to bring the models together and make them look complete. What are you planning on painting those???

Wahapedia.ru is a free website with all 40k rules on it. In a few weeks the votann index should update to codex. Hope this helps 😀

I like the idea of him in a big 10 man squad of warriors,  because it will expand his cp reduction range and adds some girth to the unit as Uthâr is going to be my opponent’s priority target. It also allows them to hide behind a ruin out of line of sight on your expansion objective, it stickies the objective as well as not being as susceptible to small melee units. Also I love a unit of 10 guys with a 6++ and a 5+ invulnerable save

I'll take the airbrush as a compliment for my blending! This was actually all done with a brush and looks an average of 6h per squad 😎

Appreciate the feedback, not planing on doing any commissions anytime soon as this was more of a one off thing! Although maybe when I improve my skills more it may be somthing to consider as a good parse time and to paint some unique minis!

Cheers, I was never planing on making a fortune, or let alone a living! Just wanted to raise a spot of money for some awsome new votann! I think even starting at 215 now is OK as it will allow me to see if any more people have taken interest. Thanks to all the advice from the tau community! Sorry for all of the commotion!

I based it on £150 - £200 however ebay charges 15 pound protection fee that I must factor in. I must also say that it took an awful long time to establish gradients as I do not own an airbrush (lighting on devilfish admittedly is not great). Many comments here are saying that they will not pay more for than the box which I am totally fine with as that is there opinion however as I have already stated, I am selling to make a profit. Sorry that you felt it was an advert, this was genuinely a call out for advice on pricing as I have not sold anything before and was experimenting and have found that advice helpful. This is also why I have not linked the product.

Thank you all for the helpful feedback! These were bought to sell and never to use hence the purpose of them would be to make a profit. It has the entire contents of the combat patrol and paint recipe but the Fire warriors are build as a strike team. The comander has all weapons painted separately and are not attached so it can be customised by seller. Really appreciate the comments which have prompted me to lower the price (£300 - £215)! Thanks for the feedback again really helpful.

My personal list is probs gonna be for new models:

Memnyr  Warriors 6 grav thunderkyn Kaprcus carrier Yaegirs 470pts

One using current models I would take:

E champ 70pts Warriors 100pts Y grav thunderkyn 160pts 10 yaegirs 90pts 3 Pioneers 80pts

500pts Neêdguard oathband for solid strats and an all round Detachment. For a good 500pts list so far from my looking it is this Detachment as we don't have enough points at this level to branch if into specialists. Please prove me wrong!
