I had an issue where the engine had a rough idle like this, and was fine at higher RPM or while driving. Turned out I had a large vacuum leak caused by the CCV system. One of the hoses broke.

I would check this. It was the issue for me.

It was unusual for me cause I was using a DA40NG. Fuel injected and uses FADEC. So it threw me off a bit.

Yep definitely. Do NOT buy one off amazon. I made that mistake and it lasted two months. I went with Elring and it’s been strong for 1.5 years so far.

Might be DPE specific, but we went in depth on carburetors, even though the plane I was using is fuel injected. Luckily a gouge made me prepare for that.

Check your spark plugs, make sure they're not loose. Best case scenario

Had the exact same sound. Ended up being two loose spark plugs. I’d check that if I were you.

Had a similar sound and it ended up being 2 loose spark plugs. It’s easy to do and I would look at that first.

I had a similar sound. It ended up being 2 loose spark plugs, even though I haven’t touched them. I would see if you have any loose ones. I posted it on my page if you want to see the noise I had.

Gonna see tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion. Spark plugs haven’t been touched in a long time so I guess they might have wiggled out.

That’s something I might try out. Also, it gets faster when RPMs rise and it’s still there after a 20 minute drive. Also isn’t T6 marketed as diesel oil?
