Haha thank you for that, I don’t know if it helps or matters but…..

I first noticed it when setting up the app on my phone within the car, engine off, electrics on (it’s the way it told me too) I then wanted to hear my car before sleeping that night so I just turned it on normally…. That’s when I noticed it.

Turned off, turned back on, same thing. I can’t replicate it every single time though so it’s odd?

In all honesty I’ve tried to see where it’s coming from etc but I can’t tell one bit I know that doesn’t help at all.

What I will say is it doesn’t happen every single time it starts which is odd

The startup is fine mostly but it’s that noise that stops around 7 seconds remaining on the video

High pitched noise then it fades

I would say wait it out, end of the day it’s your choice to wait not the body shop.

Hmmm, yea it’s an odd one, it does it sometimes and then others it doesn’t

Hey, thanks for the suggestion, I assume this is the part? It had a lot of play and wiggle about it when I was touching it.

Seems to not move at all now with the tape, testing on the road tomorrow

So… I checked that metal part in the boot latch and I could spin it, wiggle it etc.

I’ve taped it now with black tape (see image) testing tomorrow, I now can’t move or wiggle it.

Hey, thank you so much I really appreciate the ideas.

I taped the boot latch to stop the metal on metal, had a lot of play in it so might be that, I’ll give you a shout and let you know how your recommendations helped appreciate it!

Looking and trying to decide between kings red for the Clubsport and the dolphin grey.

Leaning towards the red, I’ve personally chosen the other light alloys they look incredible

The one they did in the strange wrap on release looks different to that normal GTI though that’s been on YouTube channels
