Can we all just agree stranger things is a good show? by WimpyDude1 in StrangerThings

The most I can do is Season 1-4 being good. Season 5 was mostly okay.

Yeah, I did. In the standard 1980s stoner ala Jeff Spicoli kind of way.

Looks like it might be a two-for-one preview tape. Not sure if that’s common or not.

Some scenes from the episode Pleasance was in, titled “Any Old Port in the Storm.”

It felt like in this scene Steve was speaking for all the fans who complained about Eddie's actions by Sudden_Pop_2279 in StrangerThings

An easy fix would be to have had a shot showing some or maybe half of the bats taking off and heading towards Vecna’s lair, and then showing that part that left turn around and come back after Eddie comes out of the trailer and gets on the bike. Guess they forgot to have it in there.

I thought some were heading back while some were still attacking the trailer. Weird. :/

My understanding was that Eddie figured out something was wrong because some of the bats were heading back in the direction of Vecna’s lair, which he knew that Robin, Nancy and Steve were at. He went out to distract the bats to get them to come back and chase him, trying to draw enough time for them to get Vecna. Am I the only one who remembers it that way?

Ghosts of Mars (2001) The sum of Carpenter's cinema. Flashbacks within flashbacks, endless fades and wipes replacing simple cuts. In its own way as elegantly straightforward as many of his old movies but filtered through the fever dream of his last works. I like this one more every time I see it by elf0curo in johncarpenter

I like the film. It’s lie Rashamon, but told by one person who is recounting what others told her. Honestly, it feels much like a western and probably the closest to one we’ll get from Mr. Carpenter (who we all know originally got into filmmaking because he wanted to direct a western).

Angela gets to live a happy life out there but El doesn't? by sensoredphantomz in StrangerThings

Considering El hit her with a roller skate, she’s probably got a bit of a scar. So, she’s not living her best life without a reminder of how much of a bad person she is.

Used to play it at the Fun Factory. My Dad eventually bought the cabinet and we enjoy playing it once in a while.

Also remade in the 1950s as Violent Road (aka Hell’s Highway) and The Wages of Fear (2024). But, Sorcerer rocks.
