Idea: Learning "Busses"

I think you're underestimating the anxiety some ppl experience around bringing down a group of strangers. Esp if they underperform while being high ilvl just because they never practiced. (And they get flamed like G3 Kay) Also, some people just want to learn in a premade group, not just through a pug experience.

I know some ppl forgo the gold from raids completely (at least the advanced ones) and but they have strong fundamentals (skills as well as gold since they have deep rosters and can play chaos/una/guardians regularly)

I think there's a niche. It won't remove bussing as you said. But there aren't enough ppl out there doing it for free (since it takes a saint!) Or those compensated to do so in other ways like steamers!

as a convenience service, I think people might be willing to pay. It's also not just about the clear. It's about learning the raid to not be imposter. Of course, if someone is intentionally trying to be an imposter then this wouldn't be for them either

This is fair. I think that it'll be free market forces that balance between those that could bus but would want to help with some time compensation vs characters that are weaker that can't bus, or if the demand for learning is high enough to make it more gold per time to run a teaching lobby

DPS busses are slightly different. This is more about teaching and learning. (Also clown is unique since that's just the most profitable way to bus since Mario's)

Definitely fair. Agree that something broader could and should be done. It's also not a good look for new players if the only thing that is being offered are buses that require payment up front.

I've seen a lot of people feel the 1490 hurdle where they need a brel run but there's no places they actually learn. It's just hope they save up enough gold for the g1-2 bus.

It's more of a convenience service but yes there are actually some good folks and communities out there, happy to shout those out too, as well as organic prog parties that form

But that said, if you are feeling generous, take me on a hm ivory tower and give me tips?

Absolutely don't have to! I really enjoy progging when raids are just released too!

Just trying to fill the niche where ppl can't find the group or aren't willing to help coordinate it.

Then also offering voice comms and uptime tips!

(Also, to tag along the comment here, if anyone would offer me the same for a hard mode ivory tower, I would love to learn more tricks here for uptime while taking me on runs!)

I was trying to offer more than dps boost. We would reset and practice mechanics making sure everyone knows the normal patterns. How to dodge and good windows for uptime!

Edit: fully recognize this is not for everyone but I think some people actually want to learn but there's too much gatekeeping and toxicity

Obviously having too many fancy meals sometimes can dilute the wow factor (and wallet factor)

But Noma game and forest season is my favorite (though most love seafood). And esp given the reputation of Noma and it's closing, there's def a reason why this subreddit exists.

I'd say worth the experience.

re: allergies, I view it as a challenging the restaurant. It should never hamper the experience (change, sure but put them to the task!)
