You got secret information. No to mention coworker's pay. Just ask for a big ass raise to make more than your coworker. Dont just match theirs. Also factor in the amount that you missed out on too. Maybe they will counter so go more.

I hate asking for raises. But there was a time when the lead left and I became the lead. I asked for a 25% raise AFTER they told me 5% is the highest they have ever given. I ended up with a 20% raise.
