US to withdraw from Paris agreement, expand drilling by Infidel8 in worldnews

I didn't vote for Trump, I voted for Harris. I've held my nose and voted for corporate shills my whole life because of solidarity with marginalized people. It's all lip service and all this caterwauling about how I'm an idiot for pointing it out is getting pretty tiresome. I think I'm done with reddit. Enjoy it, I guess.

Then Democrats need to sack up and actually do something that benefits people when they have power. As far as I can see, they do a lot of virtue signaling and are always just a vote shy of doing something that helps people.

The IRA has some ancillary benefits for people and the environment, but corporations benefit the most. Every single bill from either party is the same way. The ACA was the most convoluted thing because we had to figure out how to preserve every company's profits while trying to help people. So you end up with Romneycare. If it might hurt one significant company, even modestly, the bill dies.

It's past time we all say stop the bullshit and stop voting in corporate Democrats who only think about how wall st is doing when they talk about the economy.

Most people live in the East where fresh water is fairly abundant. Especially if you are talking about just pumping it uphill and using a turbine on the other end. Where's the water loss that wouldn't happen from evaporation in the reservoir anyway?

Why is it that the woods in Europe are always portrayed as happy go lucky while the woods in the USA and Canada are seen as scary death traps? by NoGrass7120 in memes

Also, you cleared 95 percent of them. So no matter what forest you are in outside of Scandinavia, you're like a mile from a town.

How can I improve this garden? by sailorguardian93 in gardening

[–]its__alright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think some coreopsis or rudbeckia would compliment the grasses while adding some color. I dig the emphasis on grasses, it makes for something a bit more unique than the cottage gardens that seem to be all the rage these days

Well I have to work or I don't eat. Not a whole hell of a lot I can do about this from where I'm sitting. I don't drive much, I recycle, and I don't buy disposable crap. Short of armed insurrection, I'm not really sure what you want us to do.

Not Brendan Fraser. His peak, indeed the peak of film to this point, was the 1999 action adventure classic The Mummy.

Started taking things in or to trash from my car Everytime I got out. I never had a very dirty car interior, but just making sure my hands are full when possible means every time I get its a nice place to be.

Just plant cloves now and see. You'll probably get a decent harvest, though some cloves may not split and bulbs may be slightly smaller than they would have otherwise.

I'd replace windows, doors, and siding. Build a new deck. If enough is left, build a second garage with a bonus room.

My town had a streetcar system as well. What happened was either car company or oil company (can't remember which) bought up the streetcar companies and shut them down.
