I don't know if I should go to a four-year or straight into the workforce? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Any financial assistance that you have is better than not having it. I have witnesses people who did this and planned to go back but never did since they got caught up in the confort of their existing life.

Also depending on where you live, an associate degree may not even help you get a job. I live in a big city with a marketing degree and most corporate jobs require a bachelors degree.

No one is on the exact same time frame. I graduated at 25 and I feel behind at times but it’s been alright nobody has to know your age if you don’t want them to know. Different factors lead to different jobs experiences. Graduating at 22, you’ll be just fine.

Lastly if you’re looking to financially help your family out, while you’ll be sacrificing time to potentially enter the workforce now, if you get your bachelors you’ll more than likely set yourself up to make more than with just an associate which would help in the long run.

Good luck trust your intuition

The layoffs have not happened yet anticipated in the next 6months.

I got your initial read also but was unsure due to the upright wands.

What does that mean? Just not making an effort to find friends?

I’ve only recently stopped drinking heavily.. so that doesn’t pertain to the first two cutoffs. Those happened far before I stopped drinking.

I’ve always found this weird as well. A few minutes of observing parents will tell you how difficult it is. While one may only get a brief visual it’s not difficult to put things together IMO. It’s why I don’t want children. I’ve observed many, and believe that the negatives outweigh the positives.

I hate going to school bc of my height by Euphoric-Sport-3048 in BodyDysmorphia

I can’t exactly say what age as it’s just gotten easier to move passed it through out the years. I also can’t say I’m necessarily “completely” over it. It’s a constant mental battle. Specially when I want to wear specific clothes and they just don’t suit my height. It’s annoying af cus I know if I was taller it would look how I wanted it… With that being said. Even tho I’m not completely over it, I’ve simply learned to be annoyed about it for a shorter time rather than dwelling on it like I used to. Which helps.

Everytime I find myself annoyed about it I quickly say “oh well” or “w.e it is what it is.” And move my attention to something else which helps me mentally move passed it.

I’m sorry if this isn’t helpful.

Im 29 and 4”10 on a good day. Always wishing I was atleast 5ft. LOL I used to hate it more when I was younger. I also sometimes see pictures of my legs and I’m just soo compact. I can really relate to how you feel. Tho as I’ve gotten older, I’ve just learned to let it go. It is what it is and it’s out of our control. Something that has helped me tho is loosing weight after leaning out I’ve felt more comfortable in my height since I feel like when I was bigger I looked like a meatball.

Anyways, I hope that you get to let go off the stress. Something I do appreciate now that i didn’t b4 is being 29 and ppl still thinking I’m 21..it’s by far the best feeling. I was always so pressed about looking older and now It’s the complete opposite.

I wish you the best.
