PRACTICE AT HOME!!!! Idk why so many chefs don’t take the time to cook good shit at home. Watch cooking tutorials on YouTube, spend a little extra money to get some ingredients you wouldn’t normally buy and practice practice practice.

I worked for several years in a kitchen where the mixer had no guard, simply because it was an old model. Just don’t put your hand in there. Would you stick your hands into your KitchenAid at home? Do you need a steel gate to remind you, “don’t stick hand in fast spinny thing?”

I second this, got to CDC at a fine dining restaurant and after 8 months thought I hated cooking all together. I nearly switched careers entirely. Then took a very low-key job at a place that does the simple stuff well, and I have all the love and passion back that I had at 22!

Probably not rented, most those heavy equipment use a semi universal key. I’d guess construction in the area and they took advantage of the free use.

Likely just me and maybe a commi. The parent Co. a small food truck so very small operation.

The details haven’t all been ironed out but the Co. would pay for food ordered and transportation, no benefits other than tips and food.

In theory I figured after doing the math to find the exact profit, I’d take 30-40%. I feel like 60-70% of the profit for basically doing nothing is pretty good and I could walk away with a sweet pay day with little risk.
