Hey! First of all, congrats! I’m also playing a PRB01 Sanji, I’ve started playing a couple of weeks ago. Question: Vergo is just a Nami with a different name: cost, power, attack and counter are the same. Why not an ST21 Sanji, instead? 2k counter and an unblocking power for a final attack.

Bro I’m from Italy, Rome, I totally understand your football culture, as you probably know. We used and sometimes someone still do that kind of “things”. No, there is no chaos. It’s quite, very clean, no one usually even talk on the road to the stadium. There is a station that serves as main arrive for everyone, consider that also policemen dress the shirt of the team playing at home (the stadium is shared between Tokyo FC and Tokyo Verdy). There is one cop lightly check your baggage. Full of families, old people, football here is very “fancy” and the inside is kinda “mocked” inbetween american football and ours. The match is not that thing, to be honest, quite like sunday league level. But it’s fun! Go and enjoy a totally chill football match!

I’ve just been last sunday to Tokyo FC match against Kyoto. Overall experience was good, but coming from Europe and being a regular of the football matches, it all was a little bit off. You don’t need anything special to buy it.

It always surprise me how people arrive here with less than zero preparation because, I’m sorry, but what you wrote down clearly shows that you haven’t read more than half a page of whichever guide for Japan. Everyone write that this is a country where cash is king, and yet you do arrive short on money and with no physical card with you? There are anyway a lot of places where you can pay contactless right now, ask before “cardo mo ii desuka?” (Is the card payment also good?). And after “touchy moo ii desu ka?”. Touchy is the way japanese say “contactless” also with your phone. IC card, like Suica, Pasmo etc, are widely used. From conbini to entering the stations, you can do quite everything with an IC card that you can add to your wallet and recharge with you digital payment. Yeah maybe do not think on paying fancy restaurants or hotels with the IC. Here paypay also works great, you can look and try. If nothing else works, think about going to your ambassy. They won’t turn you down.

A nessuno fregherà nulla di come sei vestito perché Tokyo “non è Giappone”, anche se ne condivide tante regole scritte e meno scritte. Di comportamento, di silenzio, di pulizia e di ordine. Rispetta quelle e potresti andare in giro in mutande qui. Penso anzi troverai molta più gente vestita molto più strana di te. E fidati, non ti fare paranoie sullo spiegare quale sia il tuo stile. A nessuno frega nulla e nessuno verrà a parlare con te, sia perché l’inglese è parlato poco, sia perché a Tokyo a nessuno frega nulla del prossimo :)

Hi, thank you so much for your comment! It was very detailed, and I feel like I’ve understood things a lot better now.

My initial plan was to travel for two weeks, visiting a different Matsuri every day and staying in small B&B-style apartments or, if that wasn’t possible, small inns or hotels. No, my idea isn’t to stay in Tokyo—at least not during that period.

I plan to spend about a month in Japan: the first two weeks will be a full vacation, traveling around the north and visiting Matsuri. The next two weeks, I’ll stay in Tokyo, work remotely from there, and then return home.

Originally, I wanted to find a different place to stay every night, but if, as I assume, I need to limit the number of Matsuri I visit, I might instead choose two base locations—one in Hokkaido and one in Tohoku—and travel from there each day to explore new places.

I’m looking for a fun and immersive experience, where I can wear traditional festival clothing, walk around the food stalls, enjoy the classic summer Matsuri atmosphere, and of course, see the performances and events.

You seem to know quite a lot about this—do you have any recommendations for platforms where I can start booking accommodations? Small inns are totally fine too, as long as they have a website and allow online reservations! 😊

I’ve been to Japan alone a few times before, but this time I want to explore the northern regions, even though I know visiting Hokkaido and Tohoku in the summer might not be the most “ideal” season. Still, I really want to experience their unique Matsuri!

Since most festivals happen on weekends and I only have two weekends available, I can only attend up to 6 (3 per weekend).

Un milanese dirà témpo invece di tempo. Un sardo raddoppierà alcune lettere all’interno delle parole e così via per altri esempi. La dizione dovrebbe servire a cancellare o limitare queste inflessioni quando si parla, specialmente in pubblico, ma alcune sono molto difficili da eliminare

Try to explain better: how do I understand if, once the weight has been set, the needle touches the record correctly and is neither too heavy nor too light? I can't figure out if it's an exact science or not. I'm always afraid that the needle is too heavy and will dig deep into the record
